This event was the lightest of the girl's judo weight classes, limiting competitors to a maximum of 44 kilograms of body mass. The tournament bracket consisted of a single-elimination contest culminating in a gold medal match. There was also a repechage to determine the winners of the two bronze medals. Each judoka who had lost before the finals competed in the repechage with the two finalists getting bronze medals. Football at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics took place at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore. Medalists Participants Africa Zimbabwe represented Africa at the tournament. The U-15 team is made up of players from various schools in the country's ten provinces, with the squad spending six months training together in the build-up to the Singapore 2010. During the process they played five tune-up games against local youth sides, racking up 39 goals in the process at an average of nearly eight goals per game. The team went through five week-long camps over a three-month period, also playing friendlies against local club sides and school teams before arriving in Singapore.
