Haileybury International School Tianjin (known internally as HIST) is a Chinese educational institution operated by Haileybury College. The school is the first sister school of Haileybury College in Wuqing, China just outside Beijing. Overview The school was established in 2013 as the first international campus by Haileybury College. The majority of students are Chinese locals and exchange students from Melbourne, with an annual capacity of 1,200 students. There are approximately 85 teachers at the school including 30 full-time expatriate teachers and 55 full-time bilingual teachers of Chinese nationality, 14 of whom hold degrees from universities outside of China. Temiskaming Shores is a city in the Timiskaming District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It was created by the amalgamation (politics), amalgamation of the town of New Liskeard, the town of Haileybury, and the township of Dymond in 2004. The city had a total population of 9,634 in the Canada 2021 Census. Temiskaming Shores is Ontario's second-smallest city, in terms of population, after Dryden, Ontario, Dryden. Haileybury is the seat of Timiskaming District. The East India Company College, or East India College, was an educational establishment situated at Hailey, Hertfordshire, nineteen miles north of London, founded in 1806 to train "writers" (administrators) for the Honourable East India Company (HEIC). It provided general and vocational education for young gentlemen of sixteen to eighteen years old, who were nominated by the Company's directors to writerships in its overseas civil service. The college's counterpart for the training of officers for the company's Presidency armies was Addiscombe Military Seminary, Surrey.
