Hagihon
Hagihon Ltd. (Hebrew: הגיחון) is the municipal water and waste water works corporation for the city of Jerusalem, Israel. Since 2010, Hagihon also services the neighboring towns of Mevaseret Zion and Abu Gosh. Hagihon is Israel's largest water and sewage authority with a yearly budget of over 600 million shekels. Hagihon was founded in 1996 by the municipality of Jerusalem and operates as an independent corporation by the authority of the Water & Sewage Corporations Law. Hagihon became officially independent from the municipality of Jerusalem in 2003. Since 2014, Hagihon's Chairman of the board of is Avi Balashnikov. Hagihon provides water and sewage services to ~1 million residents of the greater Jerusalem area including East Jerusalem, Mevaseret Zion and Abu Gosh, spanning 32,500 acres. Gihon Spring () or Fountain of the Virgin, also known as Saint Mary's Pool, A.H. Kerem Tunnel
Kerem Tunnel (Hebrew: מנהרת כרם, ''Minheret Kerem'') is a tunnel in southwest Jerusalem, Israel. It is currently the only cycling tunnel in Israel. The tunnel was originally built in the 1990s by Hagihon (Jerusalem's water company) to run a sewage pipe from the city's southwestern neighborhoods to the Sorek stream sewage treatment plant. The tunnel is 2.1 kilometers long and 3 meter wide. In 2018, surrounding several large cyclosportive events, the tunnel was officially made a part of the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycling route, connecting the path between the valley of Rephaim and the valley of Motza. Kidron Valley
The Kidron Valley ( classical transliteration, ''Cedron'', from he, נחל קדרון, ''Naḥal Qidron'', literally Qidron River; also Qidron Valley) is the valley originating slightly northeast of the Old City of Jerusalem, which then separates the Temple Mount from the Mount of Olives. It continues in a general south-easterly direction through the Judean desert in the West Bank, reaching the Dead Sea near the settlement of Ovnat, and descending along its course. The ancient Mar Saba (' Saint Sabbas') monastery is located in the lower part of the valley. Tzora
Tzora ( he, צָרְעָה) is a kibbutz in central Israel. Located about 20 km from Jerusalem, near the city of Beit Shemesh, it falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Yehuda Regional Council.
