Hadden is a hamlet in Scotland near Kelso, and is now part of the Scottish Borders district. "Hadden is an inhabited place in the parish of Sprouston." History The name "Hadden" has several variants. A common variant is that the name is a corruption of "Half-Dane", referring to the children born nine months after Viking raids. Sid Hadden
Sidney Hadden (26 August 1877 – 2 November 1934) was an English cricketer. Hadden's batting style is unknown, but it is known he fielded as a wicket-keeper. He was born at Hastings, Sussex. He made his first-class debut for Essex against Derbyshire in the 1912 County Championship. He made three further first-class appearances in 1912, following World War I he made two further appearances for Essex in the 1920 County Championship against Gloucestershire and Middlesex. In his total of six first-class appearances, he scored 29 runs at an average of 9.66, with a high score of 17 not out. Behind the stumps he took 5 catches and made a single stumping. Hadden died at Whipps Cross, Essex on 2 November 1934. The Ruth Hadden Memorial Award is a former award for the best first novel published in Britain, which was administered by the Booktrust. Hadden Irving Clark (born July 31, 1952) is an American veteran, murderer and serial killer, currently serving two 30-year sentences at Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover, Maryland for the murders of 6-year-old Michele Lee Dorr in 1986, and 23-year-old Laura Houghteling in 1992. He was also given a 10-year sentence for robbery after stealing from a former landlord. Family life Clark is the second of four children, and was born and raised in Troy, New York. His brother, Bradfield Clark, strangled a woman in California before eating several body parts. Clark's parents were both alcoholics and often fought with each other in front of their children. Thomas Hadden (fl. 1840 – 1881) was American saloon keeper, criminal and underworld figure in New York City's infamous Fourth Ward during the mid-to late 19th century. He was the owner of a Cherry Street dive bar, a popular underworld hangout located next to Dan Kerrigan's place, and co-led the Dead Rabbits with Kit Burns. For over 25 years, his Water Street boarding house was one of the most notorious " crimp houses" on the New York waterfront as thousands of sailors were shanghaied, robbed or murdered. Thomas Hadden (1871–1940) was a Scottish maker of ornamental ironwork from wrought iron, particularly for the architect Robert Lorimer. Life Hadden was born in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire in 1871.
