''HaMerotz LaMillion 5'' is the fifth season of '' HaMerotz LaMillion'' ( he, המירוץ למיליון, ''lit.'' The Race to the Million), an Israeli reality television game show based on the American series ''The Amazing Race''. The fifth installment of the series features 14 teams of two with a pre-existing relationship in a race around the world to win ₪1,000,000. This season premiered on 17 May 2016 on Channel 2 with the finale on 26 September 2016 and is hosted by Ron Shahar. Father and son Amit and Raz Gal were the winners of this season. Amit, who was at the age of 63 at time of filming and turned 64 during the course of filming, surpassed David O'Leary of '' The Amazing Race 24'' (59 at time of filming) as the oldest winner in any edition of ''The Amazing Race''. Ariel Sharon Park
Ariel Sharon Park () is an environmental park along the lines of Ayalon river, in the area between Ben Gurion Airport and Highway 20 (Ayalon Highway). The area is 8.5 square kilometers big, and was intended to be the "green lung" of the southern part of Gush Dan metropolin. The park was established on the former Hiriya ( he, חירייה) waste dump located southeast of Tel Aviv, Israel, the Shalem farm, Mikveh Israel village and the Menachem Begin Park. After accumulating 25 million tons of waste, the Hiriya facility was shut down in August 1998. Hiriya is visible on approach into Ben Gurion International Airport as a flat-topped hill. Bat Yam ( he, בַּת יָם or ) is a city located on Israel's Mediterranean Sea coast, on the Central Coastal Plain just south of Tel Aviv.
