"HOFX" is a 12" EP by NOFX that includes two songs from the '' Punk in Drublic'' period. Both songs later appeared on ''45 or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough to Go on Our Other Records''. 45 Or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough To Go On Our Other Records
''45 or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough to Go on Our Other Records'' is a double album released in 2002 by NOFX. There were 47 songs on the CD version, and all the songs easily fit onto one CD. The band built up a list of songs that did not make it onto any of their albums, or had previously appeared on compilation albums, vinyl singles, or b-sides. Many of these had been dropped originally because of Fat Mike's tendency to not release albums that ran for too long. The first CD contained a collection of songs spanning almost the entirety of the band's career. The oldest track was from the band's first demo, and the newest was recorded for this album. The second CD contained the EPs ''Fuck the Kids'' and '' Surfer'', each of which contained 13 or so very short songs that were previously available only on 7" vinyl. Fat Mike chose to leave one song off of each of the EPs when compiling this CD, "just to annoy people a bit". The vinyl release of the album was renamed to ''22 Songs ... ''Heavy Petting Zoo'' (known as ''Eating Lamb'' on the LP version) is the sixth studio album by the American punk rock band NOFX. It was released on January 31, 1996, through Epitaph Records. The record reached a position of No. 63 on the American ''Billboard'' 200 Albums chart, the first NOFX album to do so. In Austria ''Heavy Petting Zoo'' peaked at No. 20, while the album achieved the No. 13 position in both Sweden and Finland. Music NOFX recorded the album in October 1995 with Ryan Greene at the Razor's Edge studio, San Francisco, a garage described by the band as "a total dive". The music on ''Heavy Petting Zoo'' has been complimented as "melodic", and the album has been favorably compared to the band's 1991 ''Ribbed'' LP, but although tracks like "Hobophobic (Scared of Bums)" and "Freedom Lika Shopping Cart" have been lauded for their witty titles, they have also been criticized for being overly cynical. Fat Wreck Chords (pronounced "Fat Records") is a San Francisco, California-based independent record label, focused on punk rock. It was started by NOFX lead singer Michael Burkett (better known as Fat Mike) in 1990. Gramophone Record
A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. The groove usually starts near the periphery and ends near the center of the disc. At first, the discs were commonly made from shellac, with earlier records having a fine abrasive filler mixed in. ''Punk in Drublic'' is the fifth studio album by the American punk rock band NOFX. It was released on July 19, 1994, through Epitaph Records. The title is a spoonerism of "Drunk in Public". ''Punk in Drublic'' is NOFX's most successful album to date, peaking at number 12 on ''Billboards Heatseekers chart. The album has received positive reviews and is now considered a classic punk album by fans and critics alike. Six years after its release, it became the band's only gold record for sales of over 500,000 copies in the United States. Worldwide, the record has sold over 1 million copies. Reception and legacy The AllMusic review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine awards the album 4.5 stars and states: "The quartet didn't change their approach at all — at their core, they remain a heavy, speed-addled, hook-conscious post-hardcore punk group — but their songwriting has improved, as has their attack." Don Ho
Donald Tai Loy Ho (August 13, 1930 – April 14, 2007) was a Hawaiian traditional pop musician, singer and entertainer. He is best known for the song "Tiny Bubbles" from the album of the same name. Life and career Ho was a singer of Native Hawaiian, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch, and German descent. He was born in the small Honolulu neighborhood of Kakaako to Emily (Honey) Leimaile Silva and James Ah You Puao Ho, but he grew up in Kāneohe on the windward side of the island of Oahu. He was a graduate of the Kamehameha Schools in 1949 and he attended Springfield College on a football scholarship in 1950, but returned home to earn a Bachelor's degree in sociology at University of Hawai'i in 1953. In 1954, Ho entered the United States Air Force doing his primary training at Columbus AFB, Mississippi and spent time flying C-97s with the Military Air Transport Service.
