Hrvatski nogometni klub Hajduk Split is a Croatian football club founded in 1911, and based in the city of Split. Between the early 1920s and 1940, club regularly participated in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia national championship. Following World War II and the formation of the Yugoslav league system in 1946, Hajduk went on to spend the entire SFR Yugoslavia period in top level. Their run continued following the breakup of Yugoslavia, as the club joined the Croatian First League in its inaugural season in 1992, never having been relegated from its top tier. HNK Hajduk Split
Hrvatski nogometni klub Hajduk Split, commonly referred to as Hajduk Split () or simply Hajduk, is a Croatian professional football club based in Split, that competes in the Croatian First League, the top tier in Croatian football. Since 1979, the club's home ground has been the 34,198-seater Stadion Poljud. The team's traditional home colours are white shirts with blue shorts and blue socks. The idea to form a football club was started by group of Split students who were studying in Prague. After observing a game between Slavia and Sparta Prague, the group gathered at the U Fleků tavern and talked of creating a football club at home. When they returned to Split, they put their plan in motion and Hajduk was founded on 13 February 1911. Croatian Football Super Cup
The Croatian Football Super Cup is a Association football, football match between the winners of the Croatian national Croatian Football League, top league and Croatian Football Cup, football cup. The Super Cup is always held at the beginning of a new football season, and is only held when different clubs win the two most important competitions in the previous season (i.e. the match is not played when a club completes Double (association football), the domestic double). Since the establishment of Croatian football competitions in 1992, the two local powerhouses GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Dinamo, HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk and HNK Rijeka won doubles on twelve occasions (Dinamo Zagreb 11, Hajduk Split 1, Rijeka 1). Hrvoje Vejić
Hrvoje Vejić (born 8th June, 1977) is a Croatian retired footballer who is the president of NK Jadran Luka Ploče. He plays at the center-back position. Club career In 1998, Vejić started his football career in the Croatian capital with NK Zagreb, where he played for three seasons. He then spent four seasons at Hajduk Split, where he became the team captain, before moving to Tom Tomsk of Russia. Vejić joined his former club Hajduk Split on 12th January 2009, as a free player after leaving Tomsk. Srđan Andrić
Srđan Andrić (born 5 January 1980) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He was most recently the youth academy director of Hajduk Split. Club career Andrić started his career with Croatia's Hajduk Split. He made his debut for the club in the 1999–2000 Prva HNL aged 19 years old. He spent the next four seasons at Hajduk, becoming the captain for the 2003-04 season. Andric then moved to Greek giants Panathinaikos in 2004 in a deal worth €150k. He was released from Panathinaikos upon the expiration of his contract in May 2007, before rejoining Hajduk. He quickly became club captain again after the departure of Mirko Hrgović. Stipe Pletikosa
Stipe Pletikosa (; born 8 January 1979) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. As of 29 July 2021, he works at the Croatian Football Federation as the technical director of the national senior and under-21 teams. Pletikosa began his professional career with Hajduk Split in Croatia, transferred to Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, then joined Spartak Moscow in 2007. After spending one season with Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, he returned to Russia in 2011 with Rostov, then moved to Deportivo de La Coruña of La Liga in 2015, where he retired. Pletikosa made his international debut for Croatia in 1999, and went on to represent the country in five major tournaments. Ante Miše (born 14 June 1967) is a Croatian football manager and former professional football player who played as a midfielder. Slaven Bilić
Slaven Bilić (; born 11 September 1968) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player. He is the current manager of EFL Championship side Watford. Bilić, who played as a defender, began his career in 1988 with his hometown club Hajduk Split, later having successful spells with Karlsruher SC in Germany, and West Ham United and Everton in England before retiring from active football in 2001. Tonči Gabrić (born 11 November 1961) is a Croatian retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Gabrić played before 1991 in Yugoslav clubs Čelik Zenica and HNK Rijeka. After Yugoslav dissolution, he played for two years in Greece with PAOK (1991–1993), and in Croatia with Pazinka (1993–1994), and Hajduk Split (1994–1999). Igor Štimac
Igor Štimac (; born 6 September 1967) is a Croatian football coach and former player who played as a centre back. He is the current head coach of the Indian national team. In his playing career, Štimac had three spells with Hajduk Split and also played for Cádiz in Spain, and for Derby County and West Ham United in England. He represented the Croatia national team 53 times, playing at Euro 1996 and at the 1998 World Cup, when Croatia finished third.
