HMD Motorsports (formerly BN Racing) is an American racing team in the IndyCar Series and Indy Lights series. The team is owned by Henry Malukas. Road to Indy (2017–present) USF2000 and Pro Mazda The team entered the USF2000 series in 2017 running a limited schedule. Along with USF2000, the team also entered the 2018 Pro Mazda Championship with two cars, and had several wins. Indy Lights 2019 HMD Motorsports (BN Racing) entered the 2019 Indy Lights series. David Malukas ran for the team in 2019 with a limited budget. Toby Sowery won the Sunday race at Portland for HMD Motorsports/Team Pelfrey. HMD was to run the 2020 Indy Lights series, but the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. 2021 HMD Motorsports, together with Global Racing Group fielded four cars to start the 2021 Indy Lights series season. Brownsburg, Indiana
Brownsburg is a town in Hendricks County, Indiana, United States. The population was recorded to be 21,285 residents at the 2010 Census, an increase from the 14,520 residents in 2000. the estimated population was recorded to be 27,001 residents. History Brownsburg was first settled in 1824 by James B. Brown. When he arrived, the area was a dense, unbroken stretch of wilderness. Delaware Indians lived in what is now called Lincoln Township, along White Lick Creek, which was then called "Wa-pe-ke-way" or "White Salt". Four years later, the first log schoolhouse was built in Brown Township. Once a stagecoach line was established along a road built in 1820 connecting to Indianapolis, more settlers arrived. William Harris settled in the area north of what is now Main Street, selling sections of woods to incoming pioneers. This gave the town its original name of Harrisburg in 1835. Team Pelfrey
Team Pelfrey is an American racing team in the F1600 Championship Series and F2000 Championship Series. The team is owned by Dale Pelfrey. Indy Racing League (1998–2000) John Paul Jr. replaced Danny Ongais as driver for the 1998 Indianapolis 500 due to Ongais crashing and suffering a concussion. Paul Jr. finished seventh and led the race. Robby Unser drove for Pelfrey in 1999. Lyn St. James failed to qualify for the 1999 Indianapolis 500 due to rain on the final qualifying day and a backup car accident. The team was put up for auction on eBay in June 1999. The high bid was $1,500,300 and did not meet the reserve of $3 million. Sarah Fisher raced for the team at Texas Motor Speedway in 1999. Ernie Francis Jr. (born January 23, 1998) is an American sports car racing and stock car racing driver who currently competes in Indy NXT driving for Force Indy. He previously ran full time in the Trans-Am Series, running the 98 car for Breathless Racing, where he is a seven-time champion. In 2021, he competed in the Formula Regional Americas Championship running the 98 car for Future Star Racing, and in the inaugural Superstar Racing Experience, driving the No. 2 car. Nolan Siegel (born November 8, 2004) is an American racing driver. He currently competes in the Indy NXT with HMD Motorsports w/ Dale Coyne Racing. Siegel previously competed in the U.S. F2000 National Championship with DEForce Racing. The 2022 Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires was the 36th and final season of the Indy Lights open wheel motor racing series and the 20th sanctioned by IndyCar, acting as the primary support series for the IndyCar Series. It was held over 14 races, consisting of two ovals and nine road and street courses. Dale Coyne Racing (DCR) is an American professional open-wheel racing team that currently competes in the IndyCar Series. The team was founded in 1984 and is owned by former driver Dale Coyne. From 1995 to 2000, the team was known as Payton-Coyne Racing, reflecting a partnership with Chicago Bears great Walter Payton. The 2021 Indy Lights season was the 35th season of the Indy Lights open wheel motor racing series and the 19th sanctioned by IndyCar, acting as the primary support series for the IndyCar Series.
