HC Dinamo Minsk (handball)
Handball Club Dinamo-Minsk is a former team handball Club (organization), club from Minsk, Belarus. Currently, HC Dinamo-Minsk competes in the Belarus First League of Handball. HC Dinamo-Minsk is a five-time Belarus league champion (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 ), winner of the Baltic League (2009), winner of the Cup of Belarus (2010) and the finalist of the Cup of Belarus (2009). Due to financial troubles, the club was dissolved in 2014. Minsk Sports Palace
Minsk Sports Palace is an indoor sports arena, located in Minsk, Belarus. The arena seats 4,842 spectators and opened in 1966. It hosts various indoor events, including HC Dynamo Minsk and the Kontinental Hockey League before Minsk-Arena was completed. History From the 1960s–1980s, the largest state events were held at the Sports Palace. Championships and international tournaments in wrestling, fencing, boxing, weightlifting, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics and other sports were also held there, including matches in the championship hockey club of the Union Dynamo and handball SKA. The Belarusian Men's Handball Championship is the national league for team handball in Belarus. The current champions are HC Meshkov Brest, who won 14th title in 2021/22 season. Team Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end.
