''HB2'' is the debut EP by haloblack, self-released on February 10, 1992. The album comprises a collection of demos that were recorded in 1992 with the intention of being part of the band's debut ''Tension Filter''. Reception ''CAKE Music'' gave ''HB2'' a positive review and said haloblack's "beatbox and bass, with buzzsaw melodies and dissonant droning vocals become an emotional biopsy drill for your average, sensitive, new-age guy." ''Industrialnation'' awarded the release five out of five possible stars and made note of the energetic performances. Haloblack
haloblack are an American industrial rock group formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. The original incarnation consisted solely of Bryan Barton (as Bryan Black) until Bill Morrisette and Damien Ray joined. Their style of industrial rock combined elements of electro, glitch, trip hop and metal music. They have been on tour with other industrial outfits including 16volt, Bile, Chemlab and Cop Shoot Cop and in addition supported Marilyn Manson. The band released three albums: '' Tension Filter'' and '' funkyhell'' for Fifth Colvmn Records and ''Throb'' for Armalyte Industries/The Sick City. History haloblack was formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota by Bryan Barton (as Bryan Black). His first release was the cassette ''HB2'' in 1992. Industrialnation
''Industrialnation'' was an independent international underground music magazine based in Oakland, California. The magazine was founded in Iowa City, Iowa in 1991 by Paul Valerio. Issue #1 was released as a half-sized black & white xerox fanzine with a press run of 100 copies. It quickly grew in size and depth to document the underground electronic music industry and culture. In 1995 the magazine's home base relocated to Chicago. ''Industrialnation'' upgraded to a full-size format (8.5"×11") with full-color glossy cover and newsprint interior. After publishing issue #16 in 1998, the editorial staff took a hiatus from publishing. In 2003 ''Industrialnation'' reappeared in the San Francisco Bay Area and laid roots in Oakland. For the five issues published thereafter, the print quality of the magazine was improved, adding glossy and color pages inside. In the 1990s, no other periodical dedicated to industrial music culture had the circulation and influence of ''Industrialnation''. ...
