Hypnotic (Wild Orchid Album)
''Hypnotic'' is the fourth and final studio album by Wild Orchid. It marks the first and only album released by Wild Orchid since Stacy Ferguson, a former member of the band, left and became a member of the hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas. There are no singles released from this album. Album information After the departure of Ferguson, Ridel and Sands recorded "Hypnotic" under the label Yellow Brick Records throughout 2002. The album was released directly on the band's website on January 15, 2003. The duo hoped that they could get a deal with a major label and officially release the album, but it never happened. The album was only available online, and only 5,000 copies were printed and sold. They intended for "All The Way" to be the first single, followed by ''Hypnotic'' however none of the songs were released to radio. Wild Orchid (band)
Wild Orchid was an American girl group consisting of Fergie (singer), Stacy Ferguson, Stefanie Ridel, and Renee Sands, Renee Sandstrom. Beginning under the name "NRG" in 1990, the group changed their name to Wild Orchid in 1992 and signed with RCA Records in 1994. The group released two albums, earning Billboard Music Awards nominations with their debut. In 2001, Ferguson left the group. Sandstrom and Ridel continued as a duo, releasing Wild Orchid's final album ''Hypnotic'' in 2003. In 2013, ''Us Weekly'' named the group number 18 of the 25 'Best Girl Groups of All Time'. Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. ''Fire'' was the unreleased third album by Wild Orchid (band), Wild Orchid. The album was meant to be released on June 19, 2001, but was shelved after the group was dropped by RCA Records. This would've been the group's final release with Fergie (singer), Stacy Ferguson. Production The album was recorded from 1999 to 2000, with several of the tracks being co-written and co-produced by 'N Sync member JC Chasez, Oliver Leiber, Robbie Nevil, 3AM and Sweden's Epicenter. Stefanie Ridel told ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' magazine, "The album's lighter, more fun - and more in step with how we feel about ourselves." Stacy Ann Ferguson (born March 27, 1975), better known by her stage name Fergie (), is an American singer and rapper. She first achieved chart success as part of the hip hop group the Black Eyed Peas. Early life Stefanie Jill Ridel was born in Hollywood, California. She has two brothers, Mark and Chris Ridel. Acting career She is best known as a co-host of the TV show ''Great Pretenders''. Renee Ilene Sandstrom (born February 15, 1974) is an American singer and former child actress better known by her stage name Renee Sands.
