Hyderabad (Lok Sabha Constituency)
Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 17 Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Parliament) constituencies in Telangana state in southern India. Delimitation of Hyderabad Lok Sabha Constituency took place in 2008. Apart from Hyderabad constituency, there are four other Lok Sabha constituencies in and around capital city of Hyderabad -Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Chevella and Medak. BJP's Venkaiah Naidu had once contested in Hyderabad constituency in 1996,but he lost to Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi by 73,273 votes. The All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen ( en, All India Council for Unity of Muslims) ( AIMIM) is an Indian political party based primarily in the city of Hyderabad. It is also a significant political party in the Indian States of Telangana and Maharashtra. It is the second largest party in Telangana Legislative Assembly and in Telangana Legislative Council. Its aim is to promote the social, economical, and educational development and effective representation of Indian Muslims and Dalits. Akbaruddin Owaisi
Akbaruddin Owaisi (born 14 June 1970) is an Indian politician and leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party in Telangana. Since 2014, he has been MLA of the Chandrayangutta constituency in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Owaisi was appointed as the Chairman of Telangana Public Accounts Committee in 2019. Owaisi has presided over the Chandrayangutta assembly constituency from 1999, winning for the fifth term in 2018. He assumed the position of floor leader in 2004. In 2011, while rallying, fifteen armed assailants attacked Owaisi with guns, swords and daggers. The Adivasi refers to inhabitants of Indian subcontinent, generally tribal people. The term is a Sanskrit word coined in the 1930s by political activists to give the tribal people an indigenous identity by claiming an indigenous origin. Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi
Salahuddin Owaisi (14 February 1931 – 29 September 2008) was an Indian politician belonging to the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen party and active in the Telangana region. He served as the Member of Parliament from Hyderabad for six consecutive terms until his retirement in 2004. Family and background Owaisi's father was Abdul Wahed Owaisi, who was the president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen till his death.
