Husøy, Senja
Husøy is a village in Senja Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village covers the entire island of Husøy which is located in the Øyfjorden off the northwest coast of the large island of Senja. The village/island is located about southwest of the city of Tromsø. The village of Fjordgård sits about across the fjord on the island of Senja. The village has a population (2017) of 285 which gives the village a population density of . Up until recent times, the island was only accessible by boat; however, it is now connected to the island of Senja by a causeway. The island has a grocery store, primary and secondary school, daycare, restaurant, and Husøy Chapel. Husøy Chapel
Husøy Chapel ( no, Husøy kapell) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Senja Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located on the island-village of Husøy, just off the coast of the island of Senja. It is an annex chapel for the Lenvik parish which is part of the Senja prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. Husøy Church (Solund)
Husøy Church ( no, Husøy kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Solund Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kolgrov, on the western coast of the island of Ytre Sula. It is one of the three churches for the Solund parish which is part of the Nordhordland prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1896 using plans drawn up by the architect Peter Andersen. The church seats about 174 people. History The earliest existing historical records of the church date back to the year 1350, but it was not new that year. The first church was a wooden stave church that was located on the island of Utvær, and at that time, it was known as the ''Utvær kapell'' (chapel). Husøy Church ( no, Husøy kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Tønsberg Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located in the village of Husøy. It is one of the churches for the Søndre Slagen parish which is part of the Tønsberg domprosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Tunsberg. The reddish-brown, stone church was built in a long church design in 1933 using plans drawn up by the architect Eirik Eikrann. The church seats about 183 people. Inger Lise Husøy
Inger Lise Husøy (born 30 January 1957) is a Norwegian trade unionist and politician for the Norwegian Labour Party. She was born in Rauma as a daughter of Gunnar Husøy and Karin Nord. She took her primary and secondary education in Åndalsnes, and also attended Borgund Folk High School and various colleges in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She worked in the newspaper ''Verdens Gang'' from 1980 to 1984, and later as a consultant for Fafo Institute for Labour and Social Research from 1986 to 1987 and National Institute for Consumer Research from 1987 to 1991. In between, from 1984 to 1986, she worked as a secretary for the Labour Party in Oslo. She was a deputy member of Oslo city council from 1987 to 1991, and served on the board of the local party chapter from 1988 to 1998. She served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Oslo during the terms 1989–1993 and 1993–1997.
