	John Hussman John Peter Hussman (born 15 October 1962), is an American philanthropist, economist, and hedge fund manager. Early life Hussman holds a PhD in economics from Stanford University, as well as a master's degree in education and social policy and a bachelor's degree in economics from Northwestern University. Career Academic From 1992 to 1998, he was Professor of Economics and International Finance at the University of Michigan.
