The Hungarian women's national under 18 ice hockey team () is the national under-18 ice hockey team in Hungary. Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation
The Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation ( hu, Magyar Jégkorong Szövetség, MJSZ) is the governing body of ice hockey in Hungary. The federation was founded under the leadership of György Pásztor in 1988, when it separated from the Hungarian Ice Sports Association. He felt that to improve ice hockey in Hungary, a stronger national league was needed, which required more youths, more arenas, and proper leadership. IIHF World Women's U18 Championship
The IIHF Women's World U18 Championship, officially the IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women's World Championship, is an annual ice hockey tournament for national women's under-18 (U18) ice hockey teams, administrated by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It is the junior edition of the IIHF Women's World Championship and participation is limited to female ice hockey players under 18 years of age. History A qualification tournament was held in 2007 to finalize divisional placement and the inaugural championship was held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in January 2008. The United States' national team were the first champions and have remained the dominant force in the tournament, winning gold at eight of fifteen championships and never ranking lower than third place. MAC Budapest (women)
MAC HKB Újbuda is a Hungarian ice hockey team that currently plays in the Erste Liga. They play their home games at Tüskecsarnok, located in Budapest. In their first year of competition they would finish second in the regular season, and would reach the league finals, being swept in 4 games by DVTK Jegesmedvék. In their second season MAC would once again finish the regular season in 2nd place. They won their first playoff series 4-1 over Fehérvári Titanok, as well as their second over Debreceni HK in the semi-final 4-1. In the final they would be swept four games to one by the defending champions DVTK Jegesmedvék to once again finish in second place overall.
