Hundred Of Kuitpo
The Hundred of Kuitpo is a cadastral unit of hundred in the Adelaide Hills. It is one of the 11 hundreds of the County of Adelaide. It was named in 1846 by Governor Frederick Robe and is presumed to be derived from an indigenous term ''ku-it-po'', meaning reeds and referring to Blackfellow Creek in the contemporary locality of Yundi. History Being in the County of Adelaide, the hundred was proclaimed in 1846 along with the earliest hundred proclamations in the state. The early local administration of the hundred was split in 1853 between four new district councils established within a few months of each other: the District Council of Willunga in the south west, the District Council of Kondoparinga in the centre, the District Council of Clarendon in the north west, and the District Council of Echunga in the north east. The County of Adelaide is one of the 49 cadastral counties of South Australia and contains the city of Adelaide. It was proclaimed on 2 June 1842 by Governor Grey. It is bounded by the Gawler River and North Para River in the north, the Mount Lofty Ranges in the east, and Gulf St Vincent in the west. The City of Onkaparinga () is a local government area (LGA) located on the southern fringe of Adelaide, South Australia. It is named after the Onkaparinga River, whose name comes from ''Ngangkiparinga'', a Kaurna word meaning women's river. It is the largest LGA in South Australia, with a population of over 170,000 people in both urban and rural communities and is also geographically expansive, encompassing an area of 518.3 km². Kyeema, South Australia
__NOTOC__ Kyeema is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located about south of the state capital of Adelaide and about and north-west of the municipal seat of Goolwa. Boundaries for the locality were created on 31 August 2000 for the “long established name” which is derived from the former Kyeema Prison Camp (also known as the Kyeema Camp) whose site is in the north of the locality within the boundaries of the Kyeema Conservation Park. The 2016 Australian census which was conducted in August 2016 reports that Kyeema shared a population of 31 people with the western side of the adjoining locality of Blackfellows Creek. Land use within the locality is restricted to a range of low-impact agricultural activities by the regulatory requirement not to “adversely affect the quality or quantity of water resources” due to the locality’s location within the Mount Lofty Ranges Watershed. Dingabledinga, South Australia
Dingabledinga is a locality in the southern Mount Lofty Ranges of South Australia. It is on the ridge southeast of McLaren Vale and south of Adelaide. The name is supposed to be derived from an Aboriginal name meaning "water everywhere". Dingabledinga settlement was established in the 1930s by the Unemployment Relief Council. Seventeen families were settled on land at Dingabledinga and Hope Forest in 1931 by the South Australian government prior to receiving that grant from the Australian government. The locality existed before that as it was designated as a polling place in 1912. It had been identified as suitable land for fruit orchards by 1904. The Hope Forest-Dingabledinga Memorial Hall was erected in memory of those who served in Australia's armed forces.
