Hukam Singh (Haryana Politician)
Hukam Singh Phogat (28 February 1926 – 26 February 2015) was an Indian politician and served as Chief Minister of the state of Haryana from 1990 to 1991. Before Chief Minister he had been elected MLA from Charkhi Dadri three times. Early life and education Hukam Singh was born on 28 February 1926 at Charkhi Dadri, Haryana (then Bhiwani district, Punjab (British India) to a Hindu Jat family. Political career Hukam Singh was elected as MLA first time in 1977 from Dadri, during this time he was also given a ministry. Later on he was elected MLA twice in 1982 and 1987. Hukam Singh (Punjab Politician)
Sardar Hukam Singh (30 August 1895 – 27 May 1983) was an Indian politician and the third Speaker of the Lok Sabha and second Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha from 1962 to 1967. He was also governor of Rajasthan from 1967 to 1972. Early life Hukam Singh was born at Montgomery in Sahiwal District (presently in Pakistan). His father Sham Singh was a businessman. He passed his matriculation examination from the Government High School, Montgomery in 1913 and graduated from the Khalsa College, Amritsar, in 1917. He passed his LL.B. examination in 1921 from the Law College, Lahore and subsequently set up a practice as lawyer in Montgomery. A devout Sikh, Hukam Singh took part in the movement to free Sikh Gurdwaras from British political influence. When the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (Supreme Gurdwara Management Committee) was declared unlawful and most of its leaders arrested in October 1923, the Sikhs formed another organisation of the same name. Hakam Singh
Hakam Singh (died 14 August 2018) was an Indian athlete who won the gold medal at the 1978 Asian Games in 20 kilometre race walk. He also won a gold in the Asian Track and Field Meeting held at Tokyo in 1979. Hukum Singh
Hukum Singh (5 April 1938 – 3 February 2018) was an Indian politician who served as the Member of Parliament from Kairana in Uttar Pradesh as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate. He was a member of the Panel of Chairpersons of the 16th Lok Sabha, and the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Water Resources. Life Singh was born on 5 April 1938 to Maan Singh and Leelavati in Kairana. He received his Bachelor of Arts and LLB degrees from Allahabad University. Singh married Rewati Devi on 13 June 1958, with whom he has five daughters. He was previously elected as a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly for seven terms (1974–77,1980–89,1996-2014). He has also served as a Cabinet Minister in Uttar Pradesh governments under both BJP and the Congress.
