Hugo Siquet
Hugo Thierry Siquet (born 9 July 2002) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Belgian Pro League club Cercle Brugge, on loan from Bundesliga club SC Freiburg, and the Belgium national team. Club career On 20 July 2020, Siquet signed his first professional contract with Standard Liège. He made his professional debut with Standard Liège in a 3–1 UEFA Europa League loss to Lech Poznań on 5 November 2020. In early December 2021, it was announced that Siquet would join Bundesliga club SC Freiburg for the second half of the 2021–22 season. Standard Liège was reportedly paid €4.5 million as transfer fee. On 14 January 2023, Siquet joined Belgian Pro League club Cercle Brugge on loan until the end of the 2022–23 season, with an option for the 2023–24 season. Thierry Siquet (born 18 October 1968 in Huy) is a Belgian retired professional footballer who played as a defender and is the manager of Belgium U18 and the technical director of Virton football club. While at La Louvière he helped them win the 2002–03 Belgian Cup. He is the uncle of young "Red Devil" Hugo Siquet. Charleroi After retiring as a player in January 2006, Siquet stayed at Royal Charleroi, where he was hired as an assistant manager to Jacky Mathijssen for the season 2006-2007 and later to Philippe Vande Walle. After Vande Walle resigned in December 2007, Siquet was appointed manager for the next two games. Despite losing them, he was confirmed as the manager for the rest of the season. During the second half of the season, the results improved and Charleroi finished in an 8th place. Siquet was then confirmed as manager for the season 2008-2009 season also.
