Hugo Kametani
Hugo Kametani (born 26 January 1999) is a Japanese footballer who plays as a forward for Nagaworld in Cambodian Premier League. Career Pima Community College Kametani began attending Pima Community College in 2017, where he played two seasons for the men's soccer team. In 2018 he scored the game-winning goal in overtime to win Pima their first national championship. He scored 30 goals in his sophomore season, and was named the Junior College Division I men's national player of the year. Nebraska-Omaha After his time at Pima Community College, Kametani began attending the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Kametani played two seasons for the men's soccer team, and in 2020 was the Summit League Newcomer of the Year as well as named to the All-Summit First Team. In his two seasons with the Mavericks, Kametani scored 11 goals in 28 games. The 2022 Union Omaha season was the third season in the soccer team's history, and their third season in the third division of American soccer, USL League One. Union Omaha played their home games at Werner Park, located in Papillion, Nebraska, United States. Union Omaha were the defending league champions, after defeating Greenville Triumph SC in the final the previous season. Forward Madison FC is an American professional soccer team based in Madison, Wisconsin. The team was founded in 2018, and played its inaugural season in 2019. The team competes in the third division of the US soccer league system and plays their home matches at Breese Stevens Field. History In January 2018, it was announced that Big Top Events, which owns the Madison Mallards and has operated Breese Stevens Field since 2015, were planning to bring a soccer franchise to Madison which would begin in early 2019. As part of the plan, Big Top Events looked to have $2 million invested into renovating the stadium, pending a contract renegotiation with the City of Madison. Big Top Events wished to have a longer term lease, along with an increase in the number of concerts at the stadium, more employees at the venue, and $1.6 million from the city for facility upgrades.
