Video games, also known as computer games, are electronic games that involves interaction with a user interface or input device such as a joystick, controller, keyboard, or motion sensing device to generate visual feedback. This feedback mostly commonly is shown on a video display device, such as a TV set, monitor, touchscreen, or virtual reality headset. Tennis (1984 Video Game)
is a sports video game developed by Nintendo in 1983, and released for the Family Computer (Famicom) in 1984. The arcade game version ''Vs. Tennis'' was also released for the Nintendo VS. System in 1984, becoming a hit at Japanese and American arcades that year; it was the sixth top-performing arcade game of 1984 in the United States. ''Tennis'' is one of 17 launch games for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in North America and Europe. The game was re-released for the Game Boy as a launch game in North America. Gameplay The game features single-player and two-player modes for singles and doubles matches, with either competitive or cooperative gameplay. A computerized opponent's artificial intelligence can be set to one of five difficulty levels. Mario is the referee. The Spider (MSX Game)
The Spider is an American pulp-magazine hero of the 1930s and 1940s. The character was created by editor Harry Steeger and written by a variety of authors for 118 monthly issues of ''The Spider'' from 1933 to 1943. A 119th Spider novel manuscript, ''Slaughter Incorporated'', had been completed but was not published until decades later. A complete list of all 119 Spider pulps in the original series is available online at fan sites. ''The Spider'' sold well during the 1930s, and copies are valued by modern pulp magazine collectors. 3D Bomberman
is a video game franchise originally developed by Hudson Soft and currently owned by Konami. The original game, also known as ''Bakudan Otoko'' (''爆弾男''), was released in Japan in July 1983 and has since spawned multiple sequels and spin-offs released on numerous platforms, as well as several anime and manga adaptations. As of 2002, the series has sold over 10 million copies. The most recent iteration, ''Amazing Bomberman'', was released on August 5, 2022 on Apple Arcade. Gameplay Most games in the ''Bomberman'' franchise largely revolve around two modes of play; single player campaigns where the player must defeat enemies and reach an exit to progress through levels, and multiplayer modes where players must attempt to eliminate each other and be the last one standing. Hanafuda
are a style of Japanese playing cards. They are typically smaller than Western playing cards, only , but thicker and stiffer. On the face of each card is a depiction of plants, ''tanzaku'' (短冊), animals, birds, or man-made objects. One single card depicts a human. The back side is usually plain, without a pattern or design of any kind, and traditionally coloured either red or black. Hanafuda are used to play a variety of games including ''Koi-Koi'' and ''Hachi-Hachi''. In Korea, hanafuda are known as ''Hwatu'' (Korean: 화투, Hanja: , "battle of flowers") and made of plastic with a textured back side. The most popular games are ''Go-stop'' (Korean: 고스톱) and ''Seotda'' (Korean: 섯다). Hwatu is very commonly played in South Korea during special holidays such as Lunar New Year and ''Chuseok'' (추석). X1 (computer)
The , sometimes called the Sharp X1 or CZ-800C, is a series of home computers released by Sharp Corporation from 1982 to 1988. It is based on a Zilog Z80 central processing unit, CPU. The RGB color model, RGB Computer monitor, display monitor for the X1 had a television tuner, and a computer screen could be super-imposed on TV. All the TV functions could be controlled from a computer program. The character font was completely programmable (PCG) with 4-bit color, and was effectively used in many games. The entirety of the VRAM memory was mapped on to the I/O area, so it was controlled without bank switching. These features made the X1 very powerful for game software.
