Huck Gee
Mark Gee (born May 19, 1973, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England), better known as Huck Gee, is a contemporary artist, illustrator, toy maker, and designer best known by toy enthusiasts for his iconic "Skullhead" character. He works and lives in San Francisco, California. Work Influenced by Japanese and Hong Kong pop art, Huck produces illustrations and custom figures and has released production toys through Kidrobot including figures for The Standard and DJ Qbert. In 2005, Huck Gee released the "Skullhead Project", a joint project between Kidrobot and Barneys New York in conjunction with five top fashion designers: Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander, Dries van Noten, Rick Owens, and Duckie Brown. With this project, 12" figures of Huck's Skullhead character came immaculately dressed in the 2005 spring collections of each of the five fashion designers. Richard Saturnino Owens (born November 18, 1962) is an American fashion designer from Porterville, California. In addition to his main line, Owens has a furniture line and a number of diffusion lines. Early life and education Richard Saturnino Owens was raised in Porterville, California. His parents are John (d. 2015) and Concepción "Connie" Owens. His mother is Mexican. Owens was raised in a conservative, Catholic household. After graduating high school, he moved to Los Angeles, California to study art at Otis College of Art and Design for two years before taking pattern-making and draping courses at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. Tristan Eaton (1978) is an American artist. Primarily known for his toy designs and street art murals, Eaton is also a graphic designer and illustrator. Early life Eaton was born in Hollywood, California, in 1978. He moved to New York City at 20 years of age and attended the New York School of Visual Arts, He returned to live in Los Angeles 15 years later. Career Graphic and toy design Eaton co-designed the Dunny Toy in 2004 when he was 26. Shortly after Eaton collaborated with the toy designer Paul Budnitz to produce "Kid Robot."
