Howard Richards (American Football)
Howard Glenn Richards, Jr. (born August 7, 1959) is a former American football offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks. He played college football at the University of Missouri. Early years Richards was born on August 7, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1969, Richards had to be bussed (because of desegregation) to be a part of the St. Louis Public School's gifted program at Wade Elementary School, which he previously began at Walnut Park Elementary School. He attended Southwest High School, where as a freshman he practiced baseball, basketball and football. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Robert Leslie Shaw (born October 15, 1956) is a former American football Center (American football), center in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Tennessee. Early years Shaw attended Joseph Wheeler High School and played varsity American football, football for three years, receiving All-American, state football lineman of the year and All-state honors in his senior season of 1975. John Hugh Niland (born February 29, 1944) is a former American football offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. He was a six-time Pro Bowler and a three-time All-Pro. He played college football at the University of Iowa. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. Hula Bowl
The Hula Bowl is a post-season college football all-star game held annually, usually in January. From inception through the 2021 playing, it was held in Hawaii; since the 2022 edition, it has been played in Orlando, Florida. The game was first staged in 1947, between mainland collegiate players and local Hawaiian players; it has been played exclusively with collegiate players since 1960. The bowl was paused following its 2008 edition, then was revived in January 2020.
