Howa Wa Heya
''Howa wa Heya'', (“Him and Her”, “ هو و هي” ) is an Egyptian television drama, that aired for the first time during Ramadan in 1985. It featured many prominent contemporary artists in key roles, with movie stars Soad Hosni, in her sole television role, and Ahmed Zaki. The married couple drama, or dramas rather, were written by Sanaa al-Bisi and adapted by Salah Jahin into a screenplay in a rare anthology series in Egyptian television, where the same actors played different characters and storylines in each of its ten episodes. Hosni was awarded the Transtel (now part of Deutsch Welle) Prize at the African Union of Broadcasting conference in 1985 for her role in the series. Taheyya Kariokka ( ar, تحية كاريوكا) also Tahiya Carioca (born Badaweya Mohamed Kareem Ali Elnedany), (February 22, 1915 – September 20, 1999) was an Egyptian belly dancer and film actress. Early life Born in the Egyptian town of Ismaïlia to Mohamed Ali Elnedany and Fatma Elzharaa. Her father was a boat merchant who had married 6 times. Salah Jahin
Muhammad Salah Eldin Bahgat Ahmad Helmy (, ), known as "Salah Jaheen" or "Salah Jahin" ( ar, صلاح جاهين, ; December 25, 1930 – April 21, 1986) was a leading Egyptian poet, lyricist, playwright and cartoonist. Life and career Jaheen was born in Shobra district, Cairo in 1930 to a middle-class family. He studied law in Cairo University. In 1955, he started working for the Egyptian weekly magazine "Rose al-Yousef" as a cartoonist. A year later, he moved to the new magazine "Sabah el-Khair" for which he became the editor-in-chief, then he joined Al-Ahram. Together with Fuad Haddad, Jaheen had a great role in development of Egyptian colloquial poetry.
