How I Got Into College
''How I Got Into College'' is a 1989 American romantic comedy film directed by Savage Steve Holland, starring Anthony Edwards, Corey Parker, and Lara Flynn Boyle and produced & released by 20th Century Fox. This is the film debut of eventual voice actor Tom Kenny, who would become best known as the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants. Plot The story follows a girl named Jessica (Lara Flynn Boyle) and her attempt to get into Ramsey College, a small college in Pennsylvania, and Marlon ( Corey Parker), a boy who tries to get into Ramsey to pursue Jessica, whom he is in love with. Savage Steve Holland
Savage Steve Holland (born April 29, 1958) is an American writer, cartoonist, producer, voice actor, animator, and film director who wrote and directed the films '' Better Off Dead'' (1985) and ''One Crazy Summer'' (1986), starring John Cusack. He also directed the film ''How I Got into College'' (1989), and animated the "Whammy" on the game show ''Press Your Luck''. He later went on to create and produce '' Eek! the Cat'' and ''The Terrible Thunderlizards'' for Fox Kids. He now manages his own studio, Savage Studios Ltd., and directs shows for Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. Early and personal life Jones was born in Los Angeles, California. Her first name comes from the Chinese heroine of the novel ''The Good Earth'' by Pearl S. Buck.
