House With Lilies
''House with Lilies'' (russian: Дом с ли́лиями, Dom s liliami) is a Russian-Ukrainian melodramatic TV series directed by Vladimir Krasnopolsky and Valery Uskov. The authors describe their series as a family saga. The premiere took place in Ukraine on TV channel Inter March 31, 2014. In Russia the premiere was held on Channel One. Plot After the end of World War II, war hero Mikhail Govorovov becomes a Regional Party Leader in the Communist Party and moves with his whole family to a country house. At first, Michail does not believe the legends of a curse on the house: neither its owners nor their children and grandchildren will be happy in love. Vladimir Krasnopolsky
Vladimir Arkadyevich Krasnopolsky (russian: Влади́мир Арка́дьевич Краснопо́льский; 14 June 1933 – 23 September 2022) was a Russian film director, producer, and screenwriter. Biography Krasnopolsky was born in Svedlorsk on 14 June 1933 to artist Arkady Vladimirovich Krasnopolsky. In 1955, he graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology at Ural State University and from Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in 1963. From 1961 to 1963, he was director of the Sverdlovsk Film Studio. In 1964, he became director of Mosfilm. In 1971, he joined the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. From 1963 to 2015, he directed and wrote all of his films alongside his second cousin, . They went their separate ways in 2016. Krasnopolsky died in Moscow on 23 September 2022, at the age of 89. Oksana Shvets
Oksana Oleksandrivna Shvets (; 10 February 1955 – 17 March 2022) was a Ukrainian actress. She worked for the Kyiv National Academic Molodyy Theatre from its foundation in 1980 until her death, and was awarded the title Merited Artist of Ukraine, one of the highest Ukrainian honours for performing artists, in 1996. She also appeared on stage at the Ternopil Music and Drama Theatre and the Kyiv Theatre of Satire. She played in film and on television, such as in the 2013 Russian-Ukrainian series '' House with Lilies''. Biography Born in Kyiv, Shvets was a graduate of the theatre studio at the Ivan Franko Theatre in 1975 and of the faculty of theatre studies of the I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre in 1986. Georgy Ivanovich Drozd ( uk, Георгій Іванович Дрозд; 28 May 1941, Kyiv – 10 June 2015, Kyiv) was a Soviet and Ukrainian actor, member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine.
