House of Lyzohub or the Colonel of the Chernihiv's Regiment ( uk, Будинок Чернігівської полкової канцелярії) is an architectural monument of national importance and local history in Chernihiv located in the Dytynets Park. History Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR dated August 24, 1963 No. 970 was given the status of an architectural monument of national importance with security No. 814 called the House of the Regimental Office. By the decision of the executive committee of the Chernigov Regional Council of People's Deputies of Workers dated 11/17/1980 No. 551, the status of a local historical monument with security No. 44 called the House was assigned, where the office of the Chernigov Cossack regiment was located in the 18th century. Dytynets Park
Dytynets Park (Chernihiv) is the most ancient area of Chernihiv. It is a hill on the bank of the Desna River, where a defense complex is situated. Walking along the alleys of the park, you can feel the spirit of ancient times, marvel at the panorama of the Boldyna Hora, see the numerous churches and cathedrals, and observe the whole city. At the viewing point, there are 12 cast-iron bastion cannons from the seventeenth century, which are the calling card of the city. By the way, Dytynets is a perfect spot to have a lunch in one of the traditional cuisine restaurants. Across the street from Dytynets Park, you will find Catherine's Church from the beginning of the 18th century. This is one of the best examples of the Ukrainian Baroque style with onion-shaped golden domes. Right in the center of the city, there is Piatnytska Church from the 12th/13th century. Transfiguration Cathedral, Chernihiv
The Transfiguration Cathedral or Saviour-Transfiguration Cathedral ( uk, Спасо-Преображенський собор) is the oldest building in Chernihiv, Ukraine, and one of the few surviving buildings of pre-Mongol Rus. It is located in Dytynets Park. History Construction of the cathedral was started by Prince Mstislav of Chernigov, and legend states that when Mstislav died in 1035 or 1036, the height of the walls were equal to the height of a horseman. It is unclear when the construction was completed. Mstislav was buried in the cathedral. The Transfiguration Cathedral was damaged in 1239, during the Mongol invasion, renovated in the mid-17th century, burned down in the 18th century and was again renovated later.
