Hostel (2011 Film)
''Hostel'' is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language action crime film directed by Manish Gupta. The film explores the psychology of ragging (hazing/initiation) and its disastrous effects on a student's psyche. It was directed by writer-director Manish Gupta, who had previously written '' Sarkar'' (2005) and directed ''The Stoneman Murders'' (2009). The film, starring Vatsal Sheth, Tulip Joshi and Mukesh Tiwari, was released worldwide on 21 January 2011. Plot One night at the boys' hostel at Jaigarh University, a senior student Feroz (Mukesh Tiwari) and his goons harass freshman geek Vishnu Pandey (Subeer Goswamin), stripping him down, molesting him and forcing him to act like a dog. Manish Gupta (director)
Manish Gupta is an Indian film director and writer in Bollywood. Manish has directed five (5) movies – 420 IPC (2021), Rahasya (2015), Hostel (2011), The Stoneman Murders (2009) and Darna Zaroori Hai (2006). And he has written the Screenplay and Dialogues for the movies Sarkar (2005) and Section 375 (2019) amongst many others. Career Manish started his career as a screenwriter. Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Sarkar was Manish's first film. Manish bagged several award nominations for the screenplay and dialogues of Sarkar. A ceiling fan is a fan mounted on the ceiling of a room or space, usually electrically powered, that uses hub-mounted rotating blades to circulate air.
