Hopa is a city and a district in the Artvin Province of Turkey. Hopa
Hopa ( Laz and , Hamshen ) is a city and district of Artvin Province in northeast Turkey. It is located on the eastern Turkish Black Sea coast about from the city of Artvin and 18 kilometres from the border with Georgia. Geography Hopa is on the Black Sea Coast from Artvin and from the Sarp border crossing (into Sarpi) on the Georgian border. The land climbs sharply from 10m above sea level in the coastal areas up into the Sultan Selim Mountains, the hillsides are well watered and green with alder, chestnuts, hornbeams and other deciduous trees. The highest point is Mt Yavuz Sultan Selim at 1513m. The climate is mild and wet, although only July and August are warm enough to be called summer. There is annual snowfall in winter. Housing For Older Persons Act
The Housing for Older Persons Act of 1995 (HOPA) () amends Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Fair Housing Act). The consolidated Act is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The law was signed by President of the United States Bill Clinton on December 28, 1995. HOPA amends the Fair Housing Act as follows: * eliminates the requirement that qualified housing for persons age 55 or older have "significant facilities and services" designed for the elderly * provides "good faith reliance" immunity from damages to persons who in good faith believe and rely on a written statement that a property qualifies for the 55 or older exemption, unaware that the property is ineligible for the exemption. The Act's language and summary The Act "amend the Fair Housing Act to modify the exemption from certain familial status discrimination prohibitions granted to housing for older persons." Aaron Remana Hopa (13 November 1971 – 8 December 1998) was a New Zealand international rugby union player whose career was cut short when he died in a diving accident at sea. Early life Hopa was born in 1971 in Hamilton, Waikato, a precinct of New Zealand's north island. Career He was an All Black in 1997 and played four matches on that year's tour of Britain and Ireland. Ngapare Hopa
Ngapare Kaihina Hopa is a Māori academic of Waikato Tainui descent. Early life and education Hopa attended Gordonton School in Gordonton. Later she moved to Auckland to attend Queen Victoria School and Epsom Girls’ Grammar. Hopa later became the first Māori woman to complete a DPhil degree, D.Phil degree from the University of Oxford. Academic career Hopa participated as a researcher at the University of Waikato in completing the research that informed the Waikato Raupatu claim. Thando Hopa (born 1989 in Sebokeng) is a South African model, activist, and lawyer. She is the first woman with albinism to be on the cover of ''Vogue''. While working as a prosecutor, she was scouted by Gert-Johan Coetzee to work as a model. Hopa aims to portray albinism in a positive way. She was cast as the Princess of Hearts in the 2018 Pirelli Calendar, becoming the first South African person of color to appear in it.
