Hooked (Great White Album)
''Hooked'' is the fifth full-length studio album by the American hard rock band Great White, released in 1991. Though lacking a recognizable hit single and not commercially as successful as '' ...Twice Shy'', it still managed to peak at No. 18 on the ''Billboard'' 200 album chart. The album was certified Gold in April 1991. 'Hooked' was the last Great White album to feature bassist Tony Montana. In Q Magazine 's Jeff Clark-Meads described the album as "relaxed, mellow and endearing - though this is likely to engender disappointment for those who hitherto considered Great White a metal act." Cover art The original album cover art was photographed by famous fashion photographer John Scarpati and features a nude female model ( Kristine Rose) being hoisted out of the sea by a large hook. The cover was judged too risque by the label and replaced by art director Hugh Syme shortly after the initial pressing with an alternative cover that has the hook still below the sea level and ...

Great White
Great White is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1977. The band peaked with several albums during the mid-to-late 1980s, including the platinum-selling records '' Once Bitten'' (1987) and '' ...Twice Shy'' (1989), and those albums' singles " Rock Me" and "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" received considerable airplay through radio and MTV. By 2006, Jack Russell's Great White had reverted its name to its original name Great White. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In the late 1960s, bands such as Blue Cheer, the Jeff Beck Group, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Golden Earring, Steppenwolf and Deep Purple also produced hard rock. The genre developed into a major form of popular music in the 1970s, with the Who, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple being joined by Queen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Kiss, and Van Halen. During the 1980s, some hard rock bands moved away from their hard rock roots and more towards pop rock.V. Bogdanov, C. Woodstra and S. T. Afterglow Of Your Love
"Afterglow of Your Love" was released as a single in 1969 by the English rock group Small Faces. The song managed to reach No. 36 in the UK Singles Charts. The song was originally simply titled "Afterglow" on the album on which it first appeared in May 1968, ''Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake''. In March 1969 the Small Faces officially broke up, with Steve Marriott going on to form Humble Pie with Peter Frampton and Greg Ridley. Their manager and proprietor of their record label Andrew Loog Oldham quickly released "Afterglow" as a final single without the group's permission. Now called "Afterglow of Your Love", this soulful power ballad appeared in a noticeably different, slightly sped-up mix from the version that originally appeared on ''Ogdens'', removing the song's acoustic introduction and adding a longer instrumental coda. It was coupled with a contrasting hard rock number on the B-side, which was mis-titled on both cover and label as "Wham Bam Thank You Man" (the song's actual tit ...

It was commissioned by rock musician Jimi Hendrix in 1968 and designed by architect John Storyk and audio engineer Eddie Kramer by 1970. Hendrix spent only ten weeks recording in Electric Lady before his death that year, but it quickly became a famed studio used by many top-selling recording artists from the 1970s onwards, including Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, and David Bowie. At the turn of the 21st century, Electric Lady served as a home for the innovative Soulquarians collective, but fell into financial hardship and disarray in the 2000s. Taken over and renovated by investor Keith Stoltz and studio manager Lee Foster, the studio returned to form as a popular location for mainstream artists of the 2010s, such as U2, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga. The Station Nightclub Fire
The Station nightclub fire occurred on the evening of February 20, 2003, in West Warwick, Rhode Island, United States, killing 100 people and injuring 230. The fire was caused by pyrotechnics set off by the tour manager of the evening's headlining band, Great White, which ignited flammable acoustic foam in the walls and ceilings surrounding the stage. It reached flashover within one minute, causing all combustible materials to burn. Intense black smoke engulfed the club within two minutes. Video footage of the fire shows its ignition, rapid growth, the billowing smoke that quickly made escape impossible, and blocked egress that further hindered evacuation. The toxic smoke, heat, and the resulting human rush toward the main exit killed 100; 230 were injured and another 132 escaped uninjured. Many of the survivors developed post-traumatic stress disorder after the event. This fire was the fourth-deadliest at a nightclub in U.S. history, and the second-deadliest in New England, be ...
