Hoofdklasse (field Hockey)
The Vierde Divisie, formerly known as Hoofdklasse () is the second-highest league of amateur football in the Netherlands, and the fifth tier in general. Background The league is divided into two sections: Saturday and Sunday. This is a result of the traditional pillarisation ( nl, verzuiling), the segregation of Dutch society. The ''Saturday'' clubs are mainly Protestant Christian clubs, who were not allowed to play on Sunday. The ''Sunday'' clubs were in general Catholic and working class clubs, whose players had to work on Saturday and therefore could only play on Sunday. Although the pillarisation ended in the 1960s and 1970s, the clubs and the league have maintained this division. Derde Divisie
The Derde Divisie (; en, Third Division), formerly known as Topklasse (; en, Top Class), is the fourth tier of football in the Netherlands, which had its inaugural season as a third tier in 2010–11 and as a fourth tier in 2016–17. The league is placed between the Tweede Divisie and the Vierde Divisie (formerly Hoofdklasse), the third and fifth tiers of Dutch football, respectively. The introduction of the then Topklasse resulted from discussions between the Royal Dutch Football Association, the ''Coöperatie Eerste Divisie'' (the clubs in the Eerste Divisie) and the ''Centraal Overleg Hoofdklassers'' (the clubs in the Hoofdklasse). De Treffers
De Treffers is an amateur football club from Groesbeek, Netherlands. The club plays in the Tweede Divisie, the highest amateur league of Dutch football. History It was founded in 1919, and its first chairman was Jan Piepenbreier. De Treffers has been a member of the Royal Dutch Football Association since around 1930. In the seasons 1935–1936 and 1936–1937 it was champion of the eastern district of the Eerste Klasse (First amateur league), at the time the highest league in Dutch amateur football. In both seasons De Treffers failed to win the national amateur championship. After the Second World War De Treffers performed less well. SV TOP
SV TOP is a football club from Oss, Netherlands. SV TOP plays in the 2017–18 Sunday Eerste Klasse C. History TOP had a short spell in professional football from 1955 until 1957. First 1 year in the Eerste Divisie, Eerste Klasse, which can be compared to the Eerste Divisie nowadays, and 1 year in the Tweede Divisie before voluntary rejoining the amateur ranks. In 1986 the club became Sunday amateur champions and in 1991 the club became pro again in a separate organization. The professional branch was renamed into TOP Oss in 1994 and renamed once again into FC Oss in 2009. For more details see FC Oss. As a result of going professional, the amateur branch, still known as SV TOP, was mandatory relegated to the Vierde Klasse. After several promotions they reached the Hoofdklasse again in 1997. SV Spakenburg is a Dutch football club based in Bunschoten. It was founded in 1931 and currently competes in the Tweede Divisie. It shares a football rivalry with IJsselmeervogels that is also from Bunschoten-Spakenburg. History The club was founded on 15 August 1931 as ''Stormvogels'' and soon renamed ''Windvogels''. In 1947 it merged with a local gymnastics team to become Sportverening Spakenburg. It joined the Eerste Klasse in the 1970–71 season under coach Joop van Basten, father of legendary Dutch striker Marco van Basten, and clinched their first league title in 1974. Delfia Hollandia Combinatie, commonly known as DHC, is a football club from Delft, Netherlands. DHC is currently playing in the Sunday Hoofdklasse A League (4th tier). History DHC played professional football from 1955 to 1968. The club played its first year in the Eerste Klasse, which was later changed to Eerste Divisie. DHC finished bottom of the league in their first season of professional football and were relegated to the newly established Tweede Divisie. RKC Waalwijk () is a Dutch professional football club based in Waalwijk, that is currently competing in the Eredivisie. Its name is derived from 'Rooms Katholieke Combinatie' ('Roman Catholic Combination' in Dutch) and was established as a merger of HEC, WVB and Hercules. History The club was formed on 26 August 1940 and used to play its home games at Sportpark Olympia. Its new stadium, the 7,500 seater Mandemakers Stadion was opened in 1996 and featured the home match against Roda JC. XerxesDZB is a Dutch football club based in Rotterdam. History The club was founded in 1904 as RFC Xerxes and their first regional championship was won in 1907. After a second championship in 1911 the club was promoted to the second class (tweede klasse) of Dutch football. In 1931 Xerxes became champions of their district and were promoted to the first class (eerste klasse) where they faced teams like Feijenoord, Sparta, ADO, Ajax and Blauw Wit.
