Honored Scientist Of Azerbaijan
“Honored Scientist” () is the one of state honorary titles in Azerbaijan given by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on approval of the Regulations on "Honorary Titles of the Republic of Azerbaijan". Canditions The honorary title of Azerbaijan was given to scholars and scientific-practitioners who have been working in science for at least fifteen years, who are scientific degrees and professors of scientific institutions, higher educational institutions and other organizations by the President of the Republic with the submission of the National Assembly or the Cabinet of Azerbaijan. The Honorary Title Certificate and its badge are presented in the ceremonial and public place by the President of Azerbaijan. Akif Alizadeh ( az, Akif Ağamehdi oğlu Əlizadə) – is an Azerbaijani geologist, an honored scientist, state prize laureate, former president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (2013), chairman of the board of Trustees of the Knowledge Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and a member of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center Board of Trustees. Arif Salimov (A.A. Salimov, born 1956, az, Arif Səlimov) is an Azerbaijani/Soviet mathematician, Honored Scientist of Azerbaijan, known for his research in differential geometry. Aslan Atakishiyev ( az, Aslan Gabil oghlu Atakişiyev) (August 16, 1953, Qubadli District, Azerbaijan – August 7, 1992, Lachin, Azerbaijan) was an Azerbaijani officer, the National Hero of Azerbaijan, and the warrior of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. The Heydar Aliyev Prize was created by the Decree #38 of the President of Azerbaijan, on March 10, 2004. The head of state approved the regulation of Prize on September 20, 2007. General provisions It is stated in the regulation which consists of 25 articles, the Heydar Aliyev Prize is given to those who have special services in public-political, social, economic, scientific and cultural spheres, special services in civil service, who actively participate in social life, in the development of friendship and mutual cooperation of country in international relations. National Scientist Of The Republic Of Korea
National Scientist of the Republic of Korea was an award bestowed between 2005 and 2012. The prize was established by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to achieve the world's best research results by providing research funds of 1.5 billion KRW per year to a total of 10 scientists. Research prize funding ended when their affiliation changed. Envisioned as the highest scientific award of the nation, it was initially presented to Hwang Woo-suk in 2005 under the name Top Scientist (최고과학자) with an annual funding prize of 3 billion KRW given over three years.
