Open Hand
Open Hand is an American rock band, first formed in Hollywood, California in 1997. History Open Hand was formed in Hollywood, California in 1997 by guitarist/vocalist Justin Isham. With bassist Michael Anastasi and drummer Alex Rodriguez, they released two EPs on Justin's own label, American Propaganda: Radio Days in 1998 and Evolutions in 1999. After touring, the band signed with Trustkill Records in 1999. In 2000, Trustkill issued ''The Dream'', a collection of the band's two EPs and bonus unreleased material. They went on to release the album "You and Me" in 2005 on Trustkill / Roadrunner Records. The band went on to tour extensively all over the world from 2005 to 2009. Open Hand released their next album, ''Honey,'' on Anodyne Records in 2010. On April 20, 2020, the band released a remixed, remastered, and re-sequenced version of ''Honey'' for its 10th anniversary. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Neo-psychedelia
Neo-psychedelia is a diverse genre of psychedelic music that draws inspiration from the sounds of 1960s psychedelia, either updating or copying the approaches from that era. Originating in the 1970s, it has occasionally seen mainstream pop success but is typically explored within alternative rock scenes. It initially developed as an outgrowth of the British post-punk scene, where it was also known as acid punk. Stoner Rock
Stoner rock, also known as stoner metal or stoner doom, is a rock music fusion genre that combines elements of doom metal with psychedelic rock and acid rock. The genre emerged during the early 1990s and was pioneered foremost by Kyuss and Sleep. Characteristics Stoner rock is typically slow-to-mid tempo and features a heavily distorted, groove-laden bass-heavy sound, melodic vocals, and "retro" production. Due to the similarities between stoner and sludge metal, there is often a crossover between the two genres. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. Remaster refers to changing the quality of the sound or of the image, or both, of previously created recordings, either audiophonic, cinematic, or videographic. The terms digital remastering and digitally remastered are also used. Mastering A master is the definitive recording version that will be replicated for the end user, commonly into other formats (e.g. LP records, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays). A batch of copies is often made from a single original master recording, which might itself be based on previous recordings.
