Homes Under The Hammer
''Homes Under the Hammer'' is a British factual renovation and auction television series that is screened on BBC One as part of the morning schedule. The series has been running since 17 November 2003, and is currently presented by Martin Roberts and Martel Maxwell alongside Dion Dublin, Jacqui Joseph, and Tommy Walsh. Lucy Alexander, the series' original presenter, departed the series in 2016, though new episodes featuring Alexander were broadcast intermittently until 2022. The series is the BBC's most successful show among others in the 10 am slot, regularly attaining a 30% market share for new episodes, which equates to approximately 1.5 million viewers per episode. Martin Roberts (presenter)
Martin Leyland Roberts (born 20 July 1963) is an English television presenter, property expert, investor, entrepreneur and author. He presents the BBC One property auction series ''Homes Under the Hammer'' with co-presenters Martel Maxwell (since 2016) and Dion Dublin, although his co-presenter for many years was Lucy Alexander. He also hosts the Talkradio show "Home Rule with Martin Roberts", where he chats about property. Early life and career Born in Warrington, Cheshire, Roberts was brought up in Stockton Heath, a suburb of Warrington. Roberts began his career in the late 1980s at BBC Radio Manchester. Roberts' grandfather was a well known organist at various Warrington chapels. ''Ground Force'' was a British garden makeover television series originally broadcast by the BBC between 1997 and 2005. The series was originally hosted by Alan Titchmarsh, Charlie Dimmock and Tommy Walsh. Production The series was created by Peter Bazalgette and was first broadcast on 19 September 1997 on BBC Two. In each episode, a team of gardeners make over the garden of an individual who has been nominated by a member of their family or a friend. The BBC Genome Project is an online searchable database of programme listings initially based upon the contents of the ''Radio Times'' from the first issue in 1923 to 2009.
