Homenaje A Dos Leyendas
''Homenaje a Dos Leyendas'' (Spanish for "Homage to Two Legends") is the collective name of a series of annual ''lucha libre'', or professional wrestling major show promoted by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The show started out as ''Homenaje a Salvador Lutteroth'', honoring CMLL founder Salvador Lutteroth, it would later honor Lutteroth and El Santo until 2005 where the event would honor Lutteroth and a different retired or deceased luchador each year. CMLL has held a total of 23 ''Homenaje'' events, starting in 1996 and one each year since then. The shows are usually main evented by a ''Lucha de Apuestas'' or "Bet match" where competitors wager either their wrestling mask or hair on the outcome of the match. Villano V
Raymundo DÃaz Mendoza Jr. (born March 22, 1960) is a Mexican professional wrestler, who has performed under the name Villano V (Villano Quinto, which means "Fifth Villain") until he was unmasked on March 20, 2009, after which he became known as "Ray Mendoza Jr." after his father Ray Mendoza. Mendoza is part of a well-known Mexican wrestling family that includes four other Villanos, I, II, III and IV. Since making his debut in 1975 Mendoza has wrestled for every major Mexican wrestling federation including Universal Wrestling Association, AAA and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. Toscano (wrestler)
Oziel Toscano Jasso (born December 20, 1973) is a Mexican professional wrestler, or ''Luchador'' as they are known in Spanish. He has achieved most success under the ring names Tarzan Boy and Toscano. After making his professional wrestling debut in 1993 he has worked for a number of notable professional wrestling promotions in and outside of Mexico such as Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, AAA, the World Wrestling Federation, International Wrestling Revolution Group, and Promo Azteca. Toscano's ring character is that of a Latin hearth-throb. He has also competed under the ring names Armando Fernandez, Baby Toscano/Babe Toscano, Tarzan Toscano, and Zorro during his career. Starman (wrestler)
Starman (16 November 1974 – 23 September 2022) was a Mexican professional wrestler who was active as a '' tecnico'' in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) from 1996. Starman's real name was not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. Professional wrestling career At the beginning he made his debut on 30 April 1994 in Naucalpan as Ultramán Jr. During his time in Naucalpan, he won the mask of Tortuguillo Karateka IV, one of the Ninja Turtles. Silver King (wrestler)
César Cuauhtémoc González Barrón (9 January 1968 – 11 May 2019) was a Mexican '' luchador enmascarado'' (masked wrestler) and actor. He was known best as Silver King, but also had an extensive stint as the third wrestler to portray the Black Tiger character. He was the son of luchador Dr. Wagner and the brother of Dr. Wagner Jr. González worked for many years with El Texano as the tag team "Los Cowboys," winning tag team championships in both Mexico and Japan. MÃstico
Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde (born December 22, 1982), better known by his ring name MÃstico (Spanish for "Mystic"), is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'' (or masked professional wrestler), who currently works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Initially working as MÃstico, he later signed with WWE, where he was known under the name Sin Cara (Spanish for "Without Face" or "Faceless"). Upon his return to Mexico, he worked under the name Myzteziz in AAA, before settling on the ring name CarÃstico upon returning to CMLL in 2015. In 2021, he regained the MÃstico name, due to his successor and tag team partner MÃstico II leaving CMLL. Diamante Azul
DMT Azul (born December 20, 1982) is the best known ring name of a Mexican ''Luchador Enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Azul is best known for his time in Mexican professional wrestling promotion ''Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre'' (CMLL). He originally wrestled under the ring name El Romano but in 2009 he was given a new name and mask, Metro, a ring name that had been used by at least three other CMLL wrestlers before 2009. The "Metro" ring character was sponsored by the Mexico City ''Metro'' newspaper, incorporating the newspapers logo and color scheme (red and gold) in the mask and wrestling trunks. Ephesto
Ephesto (born June 10, 1965) is a Mexican luchador enmascarado (Spanish for "masked professional wrestler"). Ephesto's real name has not been officially documented, a tradition in Mexican lucha libre where masked wrestlers' real names often are not a matter of public record. The wrestler currently known as Ephesto made his debut in 1982 and worked for almost 20 years as Pantera del Ring with limited success. He later worked under the name Safari where he won the Mexican National Trios Championship on two occasions. Pierrothito (real name unrevealed; born October 2, 1967) is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler. Pierrothito is a part of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre's (CMLL) Mini-Estrella, or "Mini", division and is a former CMLL World Mini-Estrella Champion. He is also the first Mini to have held the Mexican National Lightweight Championship. Pierrothito is Spanish for "Little Pierroth", alluding to the fact that he wrestles as a mini version of Pierroth, Jr.; he is sometimes billed as "Mini Pierroth" or "Pequeño Pierroth". Marcela (wrestler)
MarÃa Elena SantamarÃa Gómez (born May 31, 1971) is a Mexican professional wrestler, known mainly for her work in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where she works under the ring name Marcela. As Marcela, she is one of the top ''técnicas'' (the "good" characters, or faces) in CMLL. Her daughter is also a professional wrestler, known under the name Skadi, who often teams with her mother. SantamarÃa has worked for CMLL since the early 1990s and has also wrestled in Japan and on the Mexican independent circuit.
