Homansbyen Tram Stop
Homansbyen is a tram stop located at Homansbyen in Frogner borough of Oslo, Norway. It is on the Homansbyen Line, a short line that connects the Briskeby Line and Ullevål Hageby Line of Oslo Tramway, and is served by line 19 using SL79 trams. This line is the shortest of the three tram lines that connect the city centre with Majorstuen. The city has planned to build a new rapid transit station for the Oslo T-bane at Homansbyen, but as of 2017 this has not been developed. Tram station Homansbyen was opened on 10 October 1875, as the terminus of the first horsecar line built by Kristiania Sporveisselskab. The station became a branch of the main Ullevål Hageby Line when a connection was built between it and the Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei-owned Briskeby Line on 1 May 1912. Homansbyen
Homansbyen is a neighborhood in Frogner borough in Oslo, Norway. The area is named for the lawyer brothers Jacob (1816-1868) and Henrik Homan (1824-1900). Area The area is located between the streets of Pilestredet in the east, and Uranienborgveien in the west. It consists of Josefines street or Underhaugsveien in the north, Oscars street in the middle, and Grønnegata to the south. The boundaries are thus to Bislett in the east, Hegdehaugen in the north, Uranienborg in the west and southwest, behind the Royal Palace in the south. Hegdehaugsveien goes through the district (north-south), and here is a tram stop which is called Homansbyen. Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei
A/S Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei or KES, nicknamed the Blue Tramway ( no, Blåtrikken), was a company which operated part of the Oslo Tramway between 1894 and 1924. It built a network of four lines in Western Oslo, the Briskeby Line and the Frogner Line which ran to Majorstuen, and two other consecutive lines, the Skøyen Line and the Lilleaker Line. These all connected to a common line through the city center which terminated at Jernbanetorget. KES was established as the second tram operator in Oslo (then known as Kristiania). When it commenced services it was the first electric tramway in Scandinavia. It originally opened the Briskeby Line and the Skøyen Line to Skillebekk using a fleet of Class A trams. Jernbanetorget is both a rapid transit station on the Oslo Metro and a tram stop of the Oslo Tramway. The metro station is in the Common Tunnel used by all lines under the city centre. It is located between Stortinget to the west and Grønland to the east. Until the construction of the station at Stortinget, Jernbanetorget was the end station for the eastern lines in downtown. Nationaltheatret is an underground metro station and tram stop serving Vika and the city center of Oslo, Norway. It is located on the Common Tunnel of the Oslo Metro and on the Briskeby Line of the Oslo Tramway. Also located at the same place is Nationaltheatret Station of the Drammen Line. Majorstuen (station)
Majorstuen is a subway station on the Oslo Metro and a tram stop on the Briskeby Line of the Oslo Tramway. It is located in the Majorstuen neighborhood in the Frogner borough. Majorstuen is shared by all the subway lines, and, being located just after the tunnel entrance, it is the only such station not located underground. Majorstuen was originally the end station for Holmenkollbanen, and remained so until the tunnel to Nationaltheatret Station was completed. After Majorstuen the subway lines split up in three directions. Valkyrie Plass (station)
Valkyrie plass was a metro station and a tram station on the Oslo Metro and the Oslo Tramway. The station was opened when the Holmenkollen Line was extended from Majorstuen to Nationaltheatret on 28 June 1928. The station was built in neoclassical style, and the architect was Kristofer Andreas Lange. Though not originally planned, when 800 m² of the street collapsed during the construction of the first parts of Fellestunnelen, a station was built anyway.
