Daniel Timothy Hollands (born 6 November 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays for Gosport Borough. Career Chelsea Born in Ashford, England, Hollands played for Hampton & Richmond at a young age before being offered a trial at Chelsea, where it was successful and subsequently signed for them. There, as a trainee, Hollands began his professional football career and signed a three–year scholarships with the club in July 2002. Having progressed through the ranks at the academy, Hollands turned professional in November 2003. He captained the Chelsea Youth Team and had been captain of their reserve side until joining Torquay United on loan in March 2006. He made his league debut in a 1–0 home victory against Peterborough United and played ten times, scoring once in the crucial 4–0 win at home to Stockport County as Torquay turned their season around and eventually survived relegation on the last day of the season. Fred Hollands
Frederick George Hollands (3 October 1870 – 1948) as an English professional footballer who played as an outside-forward for Millwall Athletic and Southampton St Mary's in the 1890s. Football career Hollands was born in Poplar in the East End of London and started his football career with local club, Millwall Rovers, when the club were restricted to friendlies and appearances in the early rounds of the FA Cup. During Hollands' time with the club, Millwall reached the third qualifying round in 1892 where they were defeated 3–4 by local rivals, Woolwich Arsenal. The following year, (now known as Millwall Athletic) they again reached the third qualifying round against Woolwich Arsenal, with the "Gunners" running out 2–0 winners. In the 1894 close-season, Hollands moved to Hampshire to join Southampton St Mary's. Lotte Hollands (born 1981) is a Dutch mathematician and mathematical physicist who studies quantum field theory, supersymmetric gauge theory, and string theory. She is an associate professor and Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University. Early life Hollands was born in Maasbree, Netherlands. Education Hollands earned her PhD at the University of Amsterdam in 2009. Her dissertation, ''Topological Strings and Quantum Curves'', was supervised by Robbert Dijkgraaf. Mario Eduardo Lemus Hollands (born August 26, 1988) is an American former professional baseball left-handed relief pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies in . Hollands played college baseball for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, where he earned a degree in sociology. The Phillies drafted him in the 2010 MLB Draft, and after a few seasons in their farm system, they invited him to spring training, in 2014. After performing well in those exhibition games, he made the Phillies' 2014 Opening Day roster, and although he walked too many hitters, showed some potential to emerge as a decent relief pitcher. William Michael Hollands (born 10 March 1946) is the creative director and founder of Melbourne-based animation house Act3animation. His best known directorial work, the tragicomedy ''Piñata'', was a nominee at the 2005 Annecy International Animated Film Festival in Annecy, France, the 2005 AFI Awards, for Best Short Animation, and won Vancouver's Vidfest 2005. He was also connected to Deakin University through their motion capture studio, '' Motion.Lab'', with which Act3animation was previously partnered, managing its commercial captures. Jenever (, ), also known as Hollands, genever, genièvre, peket, or sometimes as Dutch gin (archaic: Holland gin or Geneva gin), is the juniper-flavored traditional liquor in the Netherlands, Belgium and adjoining areas in northern France and northwestern Germany. As an EU and UK Protected Designation of Origin the use of the term ''jenever'' and its soundalikes can only be used if the product is made according to the specifications in Belgium, the Netherlands, two northern French departments and two German federal states. Holland's Pies
Holland's Pies is a manufacturer of pies and puddings based in Baxenden, near Accrington in Lancashire, England. Owned by 2 Sisters Food Group, the company also produces pasties and sausage rolls. History Holland's was founded by father and daughter John and Sarah Whittaker in 1851, as a confectioners shop in Haslingden, Lancashire. Sarah married Richard Holland in 1869, taking control of the business and renaming it Walter Holland and Sons. In 1907, the business moved to a much larger bakery in Baxenden, from where pies were delivered locally by horse and cart. Delivery vans were first introduced in 1927, with the company moving to its current premises two years later. By 1938, there was a fleet of twenty vans making regular deliveries around the North West. Cake production ended at the bakery, due to sugar rationing during World War II, and meat pies became more popular.
