Holland Andrews
Holland Andrews is a gender-fluid singer, composer, performance artist, and clarinetist. Andrews, who uses they/them pronouns, is a solo artist and has previously performed under the name Like A Villain. Their style of music draws from contemporary opera, musical theater, jazz, ambient music and noise music. They also compose music for dance, theater, and film. Andrews released three albums and two EPs, and they are known for their long, improvised live sets and cinematic music. Early life Raised in Los Angeles, California, Andrews comes from a family of singers that included their mother, sisters and cousins. Their mother and sister released the songs "What's Your Game" and "Running and Pushing" as the group MDLT. Baryshnikov Arts Center
The Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) is a foundation and arts complex opened by Mikhail Baryshnikov in 2005 at 450 West 37th Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenues in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The top three floors of the complex are occupied by the Baryshnikov Arts Center, which provides space and production facilities for dance, music, theater, film, and visual arts. The building also houses the Orchestra of St. Luke's DiMenna Center for Classical Music. History The building is a complex which includes three theatre spaces. LEE Mingwei (Chinese: 李明維; born 1964) is a Taiwanese-American contemporary artist currently living and working in Paris, France and New York, USA. Lee Mingwei creates participatory installations, where strangers can explore issues of trust, intimacy, and self-awareness, and one-on-one events, in which visitors contemplate these issues with the artist through eating, sleeping, walking and conversation. Jason Moran (born January 21, 1975) is an American jazz pianist, composer, and educator involved in multimedia art and theatrical installations. Moran recorded first with Greg Osby and debuted as a band leader with the 1999 album ''Soundtrack to Human Motion''. Millennium Park is a public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago, operated by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. Jay Pritzker Pavilion, also known as Pritzker Pavilion or Pritzker Music Pavilion, is a bandshell in Millennium Park in the Loop community area of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, United States. It is located on the south side of Randolph Street and east of the Chicago Landmark Historic Michigan Boulevard District. The Oregon Symphony is an American symphony orchestra based in Portland, Oregon, United States. Founded as the 'Portland Symphony Society' in 1896, it is the sixth oldest orchestra in the United States, and oldest in the Western United States. Early life and education Born in Venice Beach, California, Kahane is the son of a psychologist mother and the concert pianist Jeffrey Kahane. He attended the New England Conservatory before transferring to Brown University, where he wrote his first musical and graduated with a bachelor's degree in music.
