Hockey At The 2010 Commonwealth Games – Women's Tournament
The Women's field hockey event for the 2010 Commonwealth Games was held at the Dhyan Chand National Stadium from 4–13 October 2010. The Gold medal was won by Australia, who defeated New Zealand 4–2 on penalty strokes after the match had finished 2–2. England won the bronze medal by defeating South Africa 1–0. New Delhi
New Delhi (, , ''Naī Dillī'') is the capital of India and a part of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT). Holly Cram
Holly Cram (born 30 April 1984) is a Scottish field hockey forward. She won 140 caps playing for the Women's National Team. Cram was born in Glasgow and went to school at Glasgow Academy. She studied at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with an honours degree in literature. She then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Physical Education at the University of Strathclyde. She reached the 100 cap mark by August 2011. She played club hockey for Glasgow Western. Cram is a Game On Scotland ambassador for Glasgow 2014. Linda Clement
Linda Clement (born 13 March 1980) is a female field hockey forward and midfielder from Scotland. She played in 241 matches for the Women's National Team, scoring 61 goals. Clement was born in Inverness and raised on the Black Isle, attending Fortrose Academy before she move to Edinburgh to study. She was selected for the Highland District under-16 and then under-18 hockey squads before representing Scotland at under-18 level. Clement had also been involved with athletics during her school days and represented Scotland in the 300 metres at under-17 level in 1996. Clement made her debut for the Women's National Team in 1999. Clement played in four consecutive Commonwealth Games tournaments: Manchester, Melbourne and Dehli and Glasgow. Rani Rampal
Rani Rampal (born 4 December 1994, born in Haryana) is an Indian field hockey player. At the age of 15, she was the youngest player in the national team which participated in the 2010 World Cup. She has completed her schooling but was not able to get the graduate degree due to practice sessions and matches which were lined up. She plays forward on her team. She has played 212 international matches and scored 134 goals. She is currently the Captain for Indian Women's Hockey Team. She is also well known as a striker who often doubles up as mid-fielder. Ashleigh Nelson (field Hockey)
Ashleigh Jayne Nelson (born 5 March 1987 in Narrogin) is an Australian hockey player, a striker for the Australia women's national field hockey team. Nelson made her international debut in 2007 against Japan and by the end of her career she had played 205 games for Australia, scoring 69 international goals and awarded Australian Highest Goal scorer twice. She has played in many international tournaments, including the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, where she secured a field goal from lying on the ground as well as a penalty flick.
