Hits (New Found Glory Album)
''Hits'' is a compilation album by American pop-punk band New Found Glory, released on March 18, 2008 on Geffen Records. The album includes eleven of their most famous songs and one b-side. The first track, "Situations", was written for an MTV promotion, but was never used. In June 2007, the band decided to release it through AbsolutePunk.net to promote their appearance on that year's Warped Tour. The booklet contains a written introduction by Chad Gilbert and is filled with photographs from the band's personal archives. The cover art depicts boxer Jack Johnson's defeat of James Jeffries. New Found Glory
New Found Glory (formerly A New Found Glory) is an American rock band from Coral Springs, Florida, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of Jordan Pundik (lead vocals), Ian Grushka (bass guitar), Chad Gilbert (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Cyrus Bolooki (drums). Longtime rhythm guitarist and lyricist Steve Klein left the band in late 2013. During their lengthy recording career, the band have released ten studio albums, one live album, two EPs, and four cover albums. After forming in 1997, New Found Glory released their debut studio album '' Nothing Gold Can Stay'' in 1999. The band then released their self-titled major label debut in 2000, with the album's song " Hit or Miss" peaking at number 15 the Alternative Songs chart. Nothing Gold Can Stay (album)
''Nothing Gold Can Stay'' is the debut studio album by American rock band New Found Glory, released on May 1, 1999, through independent record label Eulogy Recordings. At the time, the band was then named "A New Found Glory", but later dropped the indefinite article "A" due to some fans struggling to find their records in stores. The original pressings of the album contained samplings from several films including '' The Outsiders'' (1983), '' Weird Science'' (1985), and ''That Thing You Do!'' (1996), as well as Robert Frost's poem " Nothing Gold Can Stay", after which the album is named. On the strength of the release, Richard Reines, co-founder of Drive-Thru Records, signed the band after paying Eulogy a $5,000 license fee in order to re-release the album on October 19, 1999. Steve Klein (musician)
Stephen Lee "Steve" Klein (born September 29, 1979) is an American musician and record producer. He is most famous for being the co-founder of Florida rock group New Found Glory, for whom he was the primary lyricist and rhythm guitarist. Career and Arrest Having formed New Found Glory with frontman Jordan Pundik in 1997, Klein performed on seven of the band's ten studio albums. Klein also contributed guitar to the band's now defunct alter-ego side project, The International Superheroes of Hardcore, where he was known under the pseudonym of " Mr. Mosh". Klein made his production debut in 2011, on Man Overboard's self titled second album. The band announced in December 2013 that Klein was no longer in the band, due to "personal differences." Jordan Pundik
Jordan Izaak Pundik (born October 12, 1979) is an American musician and songwriter. He is a founding member and the frontman of Floridian rock band New Found Glory, for whom he sings lead vocals and contributes lyrics. He was also the guitarist in the band's now defunct side-project, the International Superheroes of Hardcore, where he performed under the pseudonym of "Chugga Chugga". Biography Jordan Pundik was born in Englewood, New Jersey, to Carlos and Maureen Pundik. His family moved to Pompano Beach, Florida, when he was 5 years old. ''Catalyst'' is the fourth studio album by American pop punk band New Found Glory released on May 18, 2004 through Drive-Thru and Geffen Records. It was the band's last album to be produced by Neal Avron until 2011's Radiosurgery. Background New Found Glory released their third album ''Sticks and Stones'' in June 2002 as a joint release between MCA and Drive-Thru Records. By December, the group were working on new songs, which vocalist Jordan Pundik said were "getting a lot heavier and even more aggressive".
