Hitman (2007 Film)
''Hitman'' is a 2007 action-thriller film directed by Xavier Gens and based on the video game series of the same name. The story revolves around Agent 47, a professional hitman, who was engineered to be an assassin by the group known as "ICA" (International Contract Agency). He becomes ensnared in a political conspiracy and finds himself pursued by both Interpol and the FSB. The film stars Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott and Olga Kurylenko. It was released on November 21, 2007, in the United States; November 30, 2007, in the United Kingdom; and December 26, 2007, in France. Though critically not well received, it was a financial success, grossing $101.3 million against a $24 million budget. A sequel was canceled during the production, but it was followed by a reboot titled '' Hitman: Agent 47'' starring Rupert Friend as Agent 47 and written again by Skip Woods, released on August 21, 2015. A political decoy is a person employed to impersonate a politician, to draw attention away from the real person or to take risks on that person's behalf. This can also apply to military figures, or civilians impersonated for political or espionage purposes. Hitman is a Danish stealth video game franchise created by IO Interactive. The player controls a clone assassin called Agent 47, who is assigned by the International Contract Agency to eliminate targets from around the world. Gameplay focuses heavily on a form of stealth coined social stealth. As such, players can find themselves donning clothing of others as a form of disguise to blend into their environments.
