Hikari is the 14th single by Japanese singer Mai Hoshimura. It was released on August 20, 2008 under the Sony Music Entertainment label. The title track was used as the theme song for the TBS TV drama . The single peaked at number 14 in the Oricon Singles Chart selling 7,883 units on its first week. This is currently Mai Hoshimura's most successful single after her singles " Get Happy", "Sakura Biyori", and her previous single "Regret Regret is the emotion of wishing one had made a different decision in the past, because the consequences of the decision were unfavorable. Mai Hoshimura
is a Japanese pop singer-songwriter and pianist. On May 31, 2009, her contract with Sony ended. Biography Mai Hoshimura was born on April 18, 1981, in Matsue, Shimane. Hoshimura began to learn to play the piano at the age of four. Her mother, a teacher, had hoped she would become a classical pianist, but it was her father; also a teacher, who had influenced her with popular music. The Oricon Singles Chart is the Japanese music industry-standard singles popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Chart rankings are based on physical singles' sales.
