''Higher'' is the fifth studio album by American musician Chris Stapleton, released through Mercury Nashville on November 10, 2023. The album was produced by Dave Cobb, Stapleton and his wife Morgane. It was preceded by the lead single "White Horse". Background and recording The album was recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville, Tennessee, and additionally features producer Dave Cobb on acoustic and electric guitar and Stapleton's wife Morgane on backing vocals, synthesizer and tambourine, along with contributions from members of his touring band J.T. Cure and Derek Mixon, as well as Paul Franklin, and Lee Pardini. A press release stated that the album "span genres and def eseasy categorization", while '' Uproxx'' described the album and lead single "White Horse" as "emotionally raw and brutally honest". Chris Stapleton
Christopher Alvin Stapleton (born April 15, 1978) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and grew up in Staffordsville, Kentucky. In 2001, Stapleton moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue an engineering degree from Vanderbilt University but dropped out to pursue his career in music. Subsequently, Stapleton signed a contract with Sea Gayle Music to write and publish his music. As of 2018, Stapleton has amassed credits writing and co-writing over 170 songs. ''Haywire'' is the fourth studio album by American country music singer Josh Turner. It was released on February 9, 2010 via MCA Nashville and debuted at number five on the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200, and number two on the Top Country Albums, selling 85,000 copies. The album produced three singles, including the Number One hits "Why Don't We Just Dance" and " All Over Me." As with his previous three studio albums, Turner worked with producer Frank Rogers. Kendell Marvel is an American country music singer and songwriter. He released his debut solo album, ''Lowdown & Lonesome'' in October 2017. Early life Kendell Marvel was born and raised in Southern Illinois. He quickly discovered his talent as a musician when his father would take him to play Honky Tonks starting at 10 years old. Jerry Salley
Jerry Salley is an American country and bluegrass singer-songwriter. Salley won SESAC's 2003 "Country Music Songwriter of the Year" award. Salley has been writing and singing in Nashville, Tennessee since 1982. Ronnie Bowman
Ronnie Bowman (born July 9, 1961) is an American singer and composer of bluegrass music. Besides his solo albums, he is known for his work with the Lonesome River Band. Biography Early years A native of Mount Airy, North Carolina, Bowman sang gospel music from age three until his late-teens. He sang in his family band with his four sisters, playing churches in North Carolina and Virginia. Bowman joined bluegrass band The Lost and Found in 1988 and performed with them for two years.
