"Hey Ma" is the second single released from American rapper Cam'ron's third album ''Come Home with Me''. The song featured Juelz Santana, Freekey Zekey and Toya, and was produced by DR Period and Mafia Boy, who used a sample of The Commodores' 1977 hit, " Easy." Released as the follow-up to Cam'ron's successful single " Oh Boy," "Hey Ma" followed that song's success, peaking at No. 3 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, his highest peak on that chart, while also reaching the top 10 on several other ''Billboard'' charts. The remix also features Juelz Santana and Toya. This remix, produced by DR Period and Mafia Boy, was released on The Diplomats' first album, ''Diplomatic Immunity''. Cameron Ezike Giles (born February 4, 1976), better known by his stage name Cam'ron, is an American rapper, record executive, and actor from Harlem, New York City. Beginning his career in the mid-1990s as Killa Cam, Giles signed to Lance "Un" Rivera's Untertainment under the aegis of Epic and released his first two studio albums ''Confessions of Fire'' and '' S.D.E. The Diplomats
The Diplomats (also known as Dipset) is an American hip hop collective formed in 1997 by childhood friends Cam'ron and Jim Jones in Harlem, New York. The group was originally composed of Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey, all of whom grew up together in Harlem. In 1999, fellow Harlem-based rapper Juelz Santana joined the group. In 2001, following Cam'ron's signing, the group secured a recording contract with Roc-A-Fella Records. It subsequently began recording its debut album, ''Diplomatic Immunity'', and released it on the aforementioned labels in March 2003. Following tensions and controversy between Cam'ron and Jay-Z, the group subsequently severed ties with Roc-A-Fella and signed with indie record label Koch Records. Damon Anthony Dash (born May 3, 1971) is an American entrepreneur and record executive. Dash is best known as co-founder of Roc-A-Fella along with Jay-Z and Kareem Burke. Early life Born in New York City, Dash swept the floors of a local barbershop and sold newspapers in order to buy sneakers and shirts as a teenager.
