The Ramat HaSharon Hammers are an amateur American football team based in Ramat HaSharon, Israel, playing in the Israel Football League (IFL). The Hammers were founded by former Tel Aviv Sabres Head Coach David Miller and were established in 2010 as the eighth expansion team to enter play in the IFL. In October 2010 the team became a part of the IFL and started playing its first season. With its first game, the team got an historical victory over the Jerusalem Kings 38–8. History 2010–11 season The team played 10 regular-season games and in its first season and had a 3–7 record. Ramat HaSharon ( he, רָמַת הַשָּׁרוֹן, ''lit.'' '' Sharon Heights'', ar, رمات هشارون) is a city located on Israel's central coastal strip in the south of the Sharon region, bordering Tel Aviv to the south, Hod HaSharon to the east, and Herzliya and Kibbutz Glil Yam to the north. The Jerusalem Kings were an amateur American football team based in Jerusalem and a member of the Israel Football League (IFL). The team played its home games at Kraft Family Stadium. A year after a rule was instituted limiting the number of foreigners on a roster, the team disbanded after the 2014–2015 season. The Underdogs is an American football team based in the north of Israel, playing in the Israeli Football League (IFL). The Underdogs was established at 2005, the year that the IFL was established. In 2007 team became a part of the IFL which was at the time joined under the AFI (American Football in Israel). Tel Aviv Pioneers
The Tel Aviv Pioneers are an amateur American football team based in Tel Aviv, Israel, playing in the Israel Football League (IFL). History The Pioneers were one of the four founding teams of the IFL in 2005. They previously played in Ramat HaSharon and Modi'in but moved to Tel Aviv in 2010.
