Henry Dawson (cricketer)
Henry Dawson (23 August 1791 – 21 December 1889) was an amateur English cricketer. Dawson represented Hampshire in a single first-class match in 1819 against Epsom Cricket Club Epsom Cricket Club is based at Epsom, Surrey, and was briefly a top-class team, first recorded in 1730 and playing top-class matches from 1814 to 1819. The current club is based at the Francis Schnadhorst Memorial ground in Woodcote Road, Epsom. .... Dawson also played a single first-class match for the Old Etonians against the Gentlemen of England. Dawson also represented the Old Etonians against the Marylebone Cricket Club in a non first-class match. Dawson died at Torquay, Devon on 21 December 1889. Henry Dawson (artist)
Henry Dawson (1811–1878) was a British landscape painter. Born in Kingston upon Hull, Dawson went with his parents to Nottingham when he was still an infant and always regarded the latter as his native town. His parents were poor, and he began life in a Nottingham lace factory. But even while engaged in lace-making he continued to find time for art, and used to paint small pictures, which he sold at first for about half-a-crown each. In 1835 he gave up the lace trade and set up as an artist, his earliest patron being a hairdresser in Nottingham, who possessed a taste for art. In 1844 he removed to Liverpool, where after a time he got into greater repute, and received higher prices for his works. In 1849 he came with his family to London, and settled at Croydon, where some of his best pictures were painted. Henry Gordon Dawson
Henry Gordon Dawson (2 August 1862 in Omagh, County Tyrone22 February 1918 in Hastings, East Sussex) was an Irish mathematician. The Dawson function is named after him. Education and career Dawson was educated at Trinity College Dublin (BA 1882, 1st Senior Moderator and Gold Medallist) and at Christ's College, Cambridge (BA as 19th wrangler 1886, MA 1890). In 1897 he created the function that has since been named after him. His career included stints as Mathematical Lecturer at Cambridge (at least 1888–94) and at Firth College, Sheffield (1901–10). Henry Dawson (priest)
Henry Richard Dawson (23 December 1792 – 24 October 1840) was the Church of Ireland Dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin from 1828 to 1840, and Rector of Castlecomer, County Kilkenny. He was also Vice-President of the Royal Irish Academy in 1840 and a noted Irish antiquarian. Henry Dawson (4 December 1849 – 1 January 1919) was an Australian politician. He was born at Cooma to police magistrate Robert Dawson and Margaret Hartnett. He became a solicitor, practising at Cooma and from 1886 at Sydney. In 1874 he married Helena Druitt, with whom he had two daughters.
