Henry Crawford is one of the main characters in Jane Austen's 1814 novel, ''Mansfield Park''. He is depicted as a man who, though not conventionally handsome, has great charisma. He is lively, witty and charming, a great asset at dinner parties, and admired by nearly all. Henry and his sister bring a fresh energy to the rather dour and oppressive atmosphere of Mansfield Park. Henry Clay Crawford
Henry Clay Crawford (1856 – September 23, 1929) served as Secretary of State of Florida from 1902 to 1929, succeeding his father John Lovic Crawford, who served from 1881 to 1902, upon his death. He was a Democrat. H. Clay Crawford held several jobs before becoming chief clerk to his father. Appointed Secretary on January 28, 1902, after his father's death, he was nominated and reelected to that position until his own death. He wrote his memoirs in 1914, mainly about the founding of Crawfordville, Florida (the county seat of Wakulla County) and the post-Civil War Reconstruction in the county. Henry Charles "Shag" Crawford (August 30, 1916 – July 11, 2007) was an American professional umpire in Major League Baseball who worked in the National League from 1956 to 1975. During his twenty seasons in the National League, Crawford worked more than 3,100 games and as a home plate umpire was notable for getting in a low crouch and resting his hands on the back of the catcher in front of him. Crawford wore number 2 after the National League adopted numbers for its umpires, which was then transferred to his son Jerry Crawford, who wore it from 1976 until his 2010 retirement. Henry O (; born July 7, 1927) is a former Chinese-American actor. He is the father of Ji-li Jiang, the author of ''Red Scarf Girl''. O was born in Shanghai in 1927 and attended British and American missionary schools in China. He worked as a stage actor in China before switching to film work after moving to the United States. During the Cultural Revolution he was falsely accused of counter-revolutionary crimes and was detained and forced to do hard labor by the Chinese government.
