Helensvale Railway Station
Helensvale railway station is a major public transport interchange in the Gold Coast suburb of Helensvale. Helensvale railway station is served by the Queensland Rail Citytrain network Gold Coast line, G:link light rail and Surfside Buslines bus services. History Helensvale station opened on 25 February 1996 as the terminus of the Gold Coast line from Beenleigh. The line was later extended to Nerang on 16 December 1997. When opened, Helensvale station was also served by a CountryLink road coach service from Murwillumbah, this was diverted when the line was extended south. A track duplication to the north of the station, linking with Coomera, was completed in October 2017. The new track provides additional capacity in time for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. The duplication required the construction of eight new rail bridges, including one with a span of 860 metres across the Coomera River, Hope Island Road and Saltwater Creek. Helensvale is a suburb of the City of Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. In the , Helensvale had a population of 16,862 people. Geography Helensvale is bounded by the Pacific Motorway to the west, by the Coomera River to the north, by Saltwater Creek to the north-east, by Coombabah Creek and Coombabah Lake to the south-east. Saltwater Creek flows through the suburb from west ( Oxenford) to the north from where it forms the north-east boundary of the suburb. The principal land use is residential including some canal estates in the north of the suburb providing boat access to Coomera River and Saltwater Creek. Broadbeach South light rail station is a major public transport hub in the Gold Coast suburb of Broadbeach. The station opened in July 2014 as the southern terminus of the G:link light rail line. Domestic Terminal Railway Station, Brisbane
Domestic Terminal railway station is the terminus station of the Airport line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Domestic Terminal at Brisbane Airport, opening on 5 May 2001 at the same time as the line. The station along with the line is owned and operated by Airtrain Citylink under a BOOT scheme. It will pass to Queensland Rail ownership in 2036. Services are operated by City network. Doomben railway station is the terminal station of the Pinkenba line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Ascot adjacent to Doomben Racecourse. History The Pinkenba line opened on 1 April 1897 to Pinkenba. A station for Doomben Racecourse was opened in 1909 alongside the Nudgee Road level crossing, and in 1976 a new station named Whinstanes-Doomben opened slightly farther east; Whinstanes was the name of the industrial branch line that crosses Kingsford Smith Drive to the Hamilton Cold Stores. Bowen Hills railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Bowen Hills. North of the station, the Ferny Grove line branches off.
