Yuna Ito
is an American-born former singer and actress who was active in Japan. She was born in Los Angeles and was raised in Hawaii. Ito made her musical debut in Japan with the single, "Endless Story", which was used as one of the theme songs for the popular 2005 film ''Nana''; she also starred in the film, portraying Reira Serizawa. In 2006, Ito reprised her role as Reira for the sequel of the film singing the theme song, "Truth". In 2007, Ito released her debut album, ''Heart'', which debuted atop the Oricon chart. Biography Early life and music interest Ito was born to a Korean-Japanese mother and a Japanese father in Los Angeles, California. She has a younger brother, Johnny. Studioseven Recordings
Studioseven Recordings was a Japanese record label founded in 2006 which was a subsidiary of Sony Music Records. After its dissolution in 2010, many of its artists were moved to Sony Music Records' gr8! Records label. History The label first came to light when Sony was to release a single for singer/songwriter YUI (it should be ''Good-bye Days'' for the movie ''Midnight Sun''). It was later expanded through Kaoru Amane’s debut single (''Taiyou no Uta'' for the drama version of the movie). Since then, Studioseven Recordings is to take part in co-productions with movies. "Endless Story" is the first single by Yuna Ito, released under the name Reira starring Yuna Ito. "Endless Story" was used in the movie ''Nana'' in which Yuna played the character Reira Serizawa. "Endless Story" peaked at #2 on both the daily and weekly charts its first week, and reached #1 on the daily charts on multiple occasions, but was unable to reach #1 on the weekly charts. At the end of 2005, "Endless Story" was named the "Best Love Song of 2005" by the Oricon magazine. It holds the record for the most downloaded debut song for a female artist. "Faith/Pureyes" is the second single released by Yuna Ito. It's a double a-side single that features the two songs "Faith" and "Pureyes". "Faith" is a dark, emotional ballad whereas "Pureyes" is more of an up-beat, pop tune. "Precious" is the third single by Yuna Ito. It is the theme song to the movie Limit of Love: Umizaru (starring Hideaki Ito and Ai Kato) and was released on May 3, 2006. Both "I'm Free" and "Secrets" are more up-beat songs than "Precious". "Precious" reached a peak of #2 on the daily charts and #3 on the weekly charts.
