''Have You Been Paying Attention?'' (abbreviated as HYBPA?) is an Australian panel game television quiz show on Network 10. The series, which is produced by Working Dog Productions, is a mix of news and comedy which sees host Tom Gleisner quiz five guests (of whom Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang are permanent panellists) on the week's top news stories. Despite a disappointing start in ratings, and initially a change in timeslot and format, the series has proven to be a consistent performer for Network Ten, having its ratings increase with successive seasons and receiving critical acclaim. The show won two Logies in 2017 for Best Entertainment Program and Most Outstanding Entertainment Program, one in 2018 for Most Popular Comedy Program, two in 2019 for Most Outstanding Entertainment Program and for Most Popular Comedy Program. Tom Gleisner
Thomas Edmund Gleisner (born 24 October 1962) is an Australian comedian and producer. Gleisner co-founded production company Working Dog Productions and currently hosts Network 10's ''Have You Been Paying Attention?''. Early life and education Gleisner was educated at Xavier College in Melbourne, Australia. He attended the University of Melbourne in the 1980s, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws in 1987. While he was a university student he began working with Santo Cilauro and Rob Sitch in the 1983 Law Revue ''Legal A.I.D.S.'' Gleisner wrote and performed in the 1985 Melbourne University Revue ''Too Cool for Sandals.'' Logie Awards Of 2019
The 61st Annual TV Week Logie Awards ceremony was held at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland and was broadcast live on the Nine Network. Public voting for the Most Popular Award categories ran from 4 to 31 March 2019, with the shortlist of nominees released on 26 May. Each network is restricted in the number of personalities and programs they can submit for consideration in the publicly voted category, including up to 10 names in both the Most Popular Actor and Actress categories, 15 names for Most Popular Presenter, and 5 programs for Most Popular Drama. These restrictions on nominations often lead to controversy as being widely panned for the second consecutive year over those who are not listed in the voting form, and as a result, they are not eligible to be nominated for an award.
