Harry Waters
Harry William Waters (born 16 November 1976), sometimes known as Hal Waters, a British piano and Hammond organ player, associated with progressive rock and jazz. Life Waters is the son of songwriter and lyricist Roger Waters, who co-founded the rock band Pink Floyd, and his second wife Carolyne Christie, the niece of the 3rd Marquess of Zetland. He is married to visual artist Richelle Rich. They reside in Los Angeles. Musical career A two year old Harry Waters is heard in the original recording of " Goodbye Blue Sky" on Pink Floyd's 1979 album '' The Wall''. The song opens with him saying "Look, mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky". Roger Waters
George Roger Waters (born 6 September 1943) is an English musician and singer-songwriter. In 1965, he co-founded the rock band Pink Floyd as the bassist. Following the departure of the group's main songwriter Syd Barrett in 1968, Waters became Pink Floyd's lyricist, co-lead vocalist and conceptual leader until his departure in 1985. Jon Carin
Jon Carin (born October 21, 1964) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and producer. He has collaborated with acts including Pink Floyd, the Who, Eddie Vedder, Neil Finn, Kate Bush and Richard Butler. Biography As a teenager, Jon Carin started his professional musical career with the band Industry as their lead singer, keyboardist and songwriter. During his time with the band, they had a hit single with " State of the Nation" in 1984, being followed by the album '' Stranger to Stranger''. In 1984, he was asked by Industry's producer, Rhett Davies, to work with Bryan Ferry for his '' Boys and Girls'' album. Brit Floyd is a Pink Floyd tribute band formed in 2011 in Liverpool, United Kingdom by Damian Darlington. History Brit Floyd originated in 2011 on the initiative of guitarist and singer Damian Darlington "simply because he felt he could do it one better" than his previous band, The Australian Pink Floyd Show. He continued: "There is much more attention to details in every aspect of the show, from the music to the visuals to the lighting. ''Animals'' is the tenth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 21 January 1977, by Harvest Records and Columbia Records. It was produced by the band at their new studio, Britannia Row Studios, in London throughout 1976. The album continued the long-form compositions of Pink Floyd's previous works, such as '' Meddle'' (1971) and '' Wish You Were Here'' (1975). Colonel Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade (also known as The Les Claypool Frog Brigade) is a musical project with rotating personnel, led by American singer/bassist Les Claypool. The Frog Brigade was formed during a hiatus from Claypool's main group Primus. The original band was formed in summer 2000 and consisted of Claypool, Todd Huth (guitars, vocals), Jay Lane (drums), Jeff Chimenti ( keyboards), Skerik (saxophone), and Eenor Wildeboar (guitars, cümbüş). Les Claypool has described their sound as, "It's kind of a King Crimson meets Pink Floyd meets Frank Zappa type thing." Effenaar
The Effenaar is a music venue in the centre of Eindhoven, the Netherlands. It was squatted in 1971 and has grown into one of the largest pop venues in the country, hosting rock, pop and techno events. The current Effenaar consists of two music halls after being renovated between 2002 and 2005. The large hall has an audience capacity of 1300, is intended for use by larger bands and acts and is considerably larger than the original hall. The small hall has a capacity of 400 (smaller than the old Effenaar) and is used for smaller and/or regional bands. The old Effenaar venue hosted many large (national and international) acts throughout its existence, including Bauhaus, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Sex Pistols. Primus (band)
Primus ( ) is an American rock music, rock band formed in El Sobrante, Contra Costa County, California, El Sobrante, California in 1984. As of March 2025, the band is composed of bassist/vocalist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde, Larry "Ler" LaLonde, and drummer John Hoffman. Primus originally formed in 1984 with Claypool and guitarist Todd Huth, later joined by drummer Jay Lane, though the latter two had departed by the beginning of the band's recording career in 1989, replaced by LaLonde and Tim Alexander, Tim "Herb" Alexander respectively. "In the Flesh?" and "In the Flesh" are two songs by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on their eleventh studio album, '' The Wall'' (1979). "In the Flesh?" is the opening track, and introduces the story concept of the album. "In the Flesh" is the twenty-first song of the album, and is a reprise of the first with a choir, different verses and more extended instrumentation. The title is a reference to the band's 1977 In the Flesh Tour, during which Roger Waters, in frustration, spat at a fan who was attempting to climb the fence separating the band from the crowd. Composition The majority of the songs are in the key of A Major and its time signature is 6/8. The arrangement is highly dynamic and dramatic. Ian Ritchie (producer)
Ian Ritchie is a Scottish composer, record producer, arranger and saxophonist. He was the producer of Roger Waters' album ''Radio K.A.O.S.'', along with other recordings with Laurie Anderson (''Strange Angels (Laurie Anderson album), Strange Angels''), Pete Wylie (''Sinful''), Hugh Cornwell (''Wolf (Hugh Cornwell album), Wolf'') and The Big Dish (band), the Big Dish (''Swimmer (The Big Dish album), Swimmer''). During the 1980s, he collaborated with English singer/songwriter Gary Numan. Ritchie is married to the jazz and cabaret performer, Holly Penfield. Jam Band
A jam band is a musical group whose concerts and live albums substantially feature improvisational "jam session, jamming". Typically, jam bands will play variations of pre-existing songs, extending them to musical improvisation, improvise over vamp (music), chord patterns or rhythmic groove (music), grooves. The Grateful Dead
The Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in Palo Alto, California, in 1965.
